So begins the second round robin. Sorry sim, I'm just not playing the C and keeping the W here unless it scores massively and/or gives back nothing. Among exchanges sim does prefer this one.

#note Major clerical fail here as I did not write down my post-bingo draw. This is a recurring problem. I'm 90% confident in my reconstruction of the mid-game, which now represents far more effort than the learning opportunities here justify. DOO(Z)IE and (Z)OOID do just slightly better than ODEA, I assume because ODEA gives back way too much. I can def get with DOOZIE here as it makes for open board fun time.

#note Yup. I am a two-ply kind of simmer, and it figures that a two-plyer would encourage me to play 3F AXE and keep IIII. I couldn't talk myself into it. As for keeping XI instead of AXE or EX, my thinking was that IIs are actually quite nice tiles as long as you don't have more than one, and I am many times more likely to double up on AAs or EEs here. I also reeeally hate keeping unbalancedly on a midgame exchange, no matter the pecularities of board position nor the low chances of actually bingoing with the X. The rejoinder, I now see, is that there is not currently a XI spot on the board, but there is the AXE spot which I've just passed up and which seems more likely to stay open than to get blocked. According to sim this is a 3 point mistake. I am not so sure. I think this is a long-game play that you make on certain boards against certain opponents, whereas keeping or playing AXE is more of a short-term play that you make against certain other opponents on certain other boards. That thinking did work out, this time. As for E2 (N)IXIE, it sims pretty much the same as all of these other choices, but I have no idea what kind of board or opponent would dictate that kind of play. I can't think of any.

#note Good thing I left this spot open with OX. [-sad trombone-] Sim says exchanging UUY is 2 better. I don't remember if I had 14J in mind here, but I think holding the Y for that spot makes this play defensible. B1 (A)DIEU just doesn't do it for me but somehow sims ok.
