#description Created with Macondo
>skaplan31: EGLMNRU 8G REGNUM +24 24
#note Rd 1 Philly virtual 7-1-2021. Looks fine to be more open over GLUM or MUNG.
>eddybear: AEEFLNT J6 FE. +14 14
#note Looks nice to me.
>skaplan31: BCGILRU G5 RUB.IC +14 38
#note I did not see K7 LUBRIC, which does score the most, and given the nature of this rack, I guess I'm glad to see something to give myself something synergistic to work with next turn and dump some clunk. It does block good floaters that Ed can use to bingo, assuming he's keeping well after his last play, and Ed doesn't have much to work with next turn without the X or an E.
>eddybear: ?AELNPT 5A PLANTE.s +68 82
#note Turns out, he missed the more simple 11A PLATENs and PLANETs, as well as the harder to see 2x2s- K5 PAT(U)LENt and K5 PET(U)LANt.
>skaplan31: GIILOOO A5 .OLIO +21 59
#note Best play, not that there's much satisfaction to be had from this rack.
>eddybear: DENOOVW H1 WOOD. +30 112
>skaplan31: AAGILOR L4 GLIO.A +18 77
#note Considered this, D1 LOGANIA, B1 ARGALI,4H DIALOG, and K2 LOGIA. ARGALI is 4 more, but that just seemed too desperate at this score. K2 LOGIA blocks too well, and LOGANIA blocks nicely and increases scoring for Ed on Columns C and E. This move at least allows me an opportunity to open the bottom right nicely.
>eddybear: ABEINNV D1 VENI. +24 136
#note B1 VIABLE is 3 more, but I think this is better defense, and NN isn't exactly ideal to keep. He could also do M9 BENNI for 27, but that's too open for him at this score.
>skaplan31: AEEIRTU 10F E.U +7 84
#note Hard call- maybe 1A ERUV would have been fine, although drawing more vowels will hurt me, and all I really have open right now are open vowels and a W. This is a mistake nonetheless as B1 TUILE would have been a better 18 points and keeping a comparable leave. My win% did go down by about 2.3% with this instead of TUILE.
>eddybear: ABINPWY 3B PI.NY +20 156
#note I see where he's going with this, but B2 WANLY would have put me in a world of hurt. Got lucky he missed that and B2 BIALY.
>skaplan31: AEEIORT B2 O.A. +12 96
#note Maybe B3 POLE?
>eddybear: ?ABFLMW 2F BL.W +28 184
#note Looks like the best move.
>skaplan31: EEGIRTZ 6J .R.TZ +37 133
#note Definitely did not like B8 TIZ with there being only the unseen K in this pool, and I also didn't care for 5K GLITZ as that's like throwing meat in a lion's cage. 2F (BLOW)ZIER is a nice extension which I did not spot. That's easily better than anything else there is. #findingmedium
>eddybear: ?ADEFMR M9 DEFAMeR +83 267
#note This bingo does play at B8 for 95 pts! Still, not what I needed to see come down.
>skaplan31: EEGIKNR B9 REEKING +80 213
#note At least I had this in 2 spots before DEFAMER came down. Yay for that?
>eddybear: DEHIORV 15A O.IVE +39 306
#note I really like 15H VOIDER at this score to take out both 3x3s in 1 move.
>skaplan31: AADOQST C7 QAT +27 240
#note Definitely not doing N10 DATOS here. While I didn't even consider doing 11D QATS, that would have been worth it with 3 more Ss left. The sim does easily concur. #strategyquestionable
>eddybear: CDEHIRT 15G DITCHE. +42 348
#note The bingo does play at 14E for 70.
>skaplan31: AAADOSS N13 ADS +30 270
>eddybear: AEJNRTU O8 JURANT +47 395
#note Yea, he's got a nice stranglehold on me now.
>skaplan31: AAEHOST 7F A. +4 274
#note At least I can stop EX/XU from coming down.
>eddybear: EISSXY D9 SEXY +32 427
>skaplan31: AEHOST A1 AHS +34 308
#note 11G SHOAT or 11G SHOTE is 2 more spread points for me.
>eddybear: IS 11D .IS +22 449
#note He would have had J2 SI if I had seen SHOTE or SHOAT on the previous move.

Not much I could have done to stop Ed on a couple turns, and it's frustrating to just not have much. Missing BLOWZIER was the play that really put me in a bad spot, and I'm not sure I really deserved to draw a bingo keeping the bad EEGI leave. The endgame wasn't great either.
