#description Created with Macondo
>skaplan31: AINORRT - +0 0
#note Rd 1 Philly virtual 6-24-2021. I'm 2nd.
>llamaste: ?ACEFNU 8D FUrNACE +80 80
#note Nice find to start and his only other bingo is UNiFACE.
>skaplan31: AINORRT E8 .RINATOR +66 66
#note Good thing I had my own response. Also in play are I8 (C)ARROTIN and J5 ANT(E)RIOR.
>llamaste: AEGIRTU 15D T.AGI +21 101
>skaplan31: ?BEOOOS 13B BOO. +12 78
#note Definitely didn't seem crazy about D11 OBE, which I saw, but it would have been worth it here, 10 points is too many to give up when the board is wide open as is. #strategyquestionable
>llamaste: CDEILRU 12E .URICLED +74 175
#note Luckily I couldn't stop him from bingoing, but he did have LUCIDER at 14H and K4 for more.
>skaplan31: ?DEOPSU K2 SPOUsED +81 159
#note Good thing I realized FURNACED was good, but I clearly didn't see the ESPOUSED hook on this. Because of that hook, K4 PsEUDOS or K2 SPOUtED would have been better choices. Mark did miss this hook, so lucky me again.
>llamaste: EEGGISS L1 GIES +24 199
#note In this case, 1G SIEGE would have been it for 28.
>skaplan31: AAAENWZ M3 WEAN +33 192
#note Couple options sim at the top as well as this. I figured I'd save the Z for another scoring play, namely 1L (G)AZE.
>llamaste: AEEGLSW 11J AWE +27 226
#note Mark did have 6D WAGELES(s) for 67. If he's not gonna see that, 1I GEE(G)AWS is an awesome play.
>skaplan31: AAPRTVZ 10J PAR +32 224
#note Again, I can use the Z for another score next turn, hence not doing 10L ZAP. Not to mention that 10L ZAP is not necessary if I can score just as much while being safer. I could have also done 14A ZAP if there weren't other As remaining.
>llamaste: EGIILSS 1L .IGS +18 244
#note Yeesh
>skaplan31: AILTTVZ 14H TIZ +34 258
#note Well now I know 1 tile I won't be drawing after all. I did consider this, 10D TIZ, and 10B ZITI. Row 10 wasn't as much of a concern for me as Row 14 was because if he bingoes with the last S on Row 14, there won't be any more S hooks to use.
>llamaste: EHILLNS 10B HIL. +15 259
#note I really like 14E OH here- he can fish next turn for bingoes on a board that's reasonably easy to bingo on if he doesn't draw a bingo.
>skaplan31: AJLRTVV 14A VAR +22 280
#note Nothing is particularly appealing to me here. I could have also done 6H VAV(s) as well, but I would like to be able to counter with a bingo should he bingo. That's just gonna make it extremely difficult to play on the top of the board in the future. However, H4 VALV(A)R is a miss and would have gotten me out of this mess better. #findingbad
>llamaste: BELNOSY 9A YOB +23 282
>skaplan31: DEEJLTV A6 LEV. +30 310
#note I did see 13K DELVE and DEVEL but that's again too aggressive. This is fine.
>llamaste: EEELNQS H11 Q. +11 293
>skaplan31: DEJNTUY 13K DENY +29 339
>llamaste: EEEILNS N13 .E +10 303
>skaplan31: AJMNRTU 15L JURA +63 402
#note Thankfully his fish worked out nicely for me! I can't help but say that this is easily the play.
>llamaste: EEEILNS G12 .E +3 306
>skaplan31: FIMNOTT D4 MOTI. +20 422
#note He's up to something. Maybe 6F MOTIF(s) is better, but at least I took Row 6 out.
>llamaste: DEEILNS E3 LED +18 324
#note This is a great play. I'm officially not in an easy spot.
>skaplan31: FHKNOOT 2B HOOF +28 450
#note So it's pretty clear Mark was gonna bingo in many spots on this board. In fact, from what I saw from this pool, he will bingo if the M, S, or X is in the bag. I saw ANTISEX, SEXTAIN, TAMEINS, INMATES, ETAMINS, and TAXIMEN as 7s, and he also had AMNESTIC, NEMATICS, SEMANTIC, and AMENTIAS as 8s if the X was in the bag. The worst case scenario was if the M was in the bag as SEXTAIN did play at B1 as well as O1 SEXTAINS. Doing M1 SHOOK wouldn't have helped me as much as B1 SEXTAIN is 88 plus the 18 he would get off my rack. So I did find a sure win by being able to outrun O1 SEXTAINS as well as all ACEIMNST bingoes should I draw the X as NEMATICS is 65 for him.
>llamaste: AEINSTX O1 .EXTAINS +98 422
#note While the M being in the bag caused the most amount of spread loss, I saw the possibility of this and won this slugfest.
