>jammcc: ELNORTV - +0 0
#note Rd 6 Philly virtual 6-6-2021. I'm 1st.

Standings:
1st 4-1 +183
2nd 4-1 +140
3rd (me) 3-2 +263
4th Jamie 2-3 -23
5th 2-3 -228
6th 0-5 -335

I can't win this tourney, but it will pretty much be either place or show for me unless Jamie beats me by more than 143 points this game. Which in that case, the result would be a real downer, even though I always have fun with this.
>skaplan31: ?CIJNRT 8G JIN +20 20
>jammcc: ELNORTV J8 NOVEL +27 27
#note Looks good.
>skaplan31: ?ACGRTT 11D CoTTAG.R +90 110
#note Only bingo. Basically all or nothing on this move.
>jammcc: AEFORTX D11 .AREX +44 71
#note 12G OX is better equity, but I can understand him wanting to do this if he needs to make up a lot of spread to pass me in the standings.
>skaplan31: AILPQRR 7H QI +26 136
>jammcc: AFLMOOT 15A FAL. +42 113
#note Looks fine again.
>skaplan31: AAILPRR H10 P.RRAL +27 163
>jammcc: ABMOORT 9C BROMO +23 136
#note This, 14A OM, and C12 MOOL are fine.
>skaplan31: ADILMYY 13B MA.LY +20 183
#note I did want to save my I for JINNI plays as well as play some sort of defense on the bottom, but I do think that J8 (NOVEL)LY was a better way of doing that. #findingsmall
>jammcc: AEEFOTZ 8A ZOA +40 176
#note Looks like the play to me.
>skaplan31: ADGIOSY K5 YAGI +28 211
#note Mhm. That's why I saved an emergency scoring option by not getting rid of my I last turn.
>jammcc: EEEEFHT 7C FEET +23 199
#note That's a lot of Es on 1 rack!
>skaplan31: DENOOSW 14B OW. +28 239
#note I did see L1 WOODEN as well as this, but I do like how much better this play keeps over WOODEN and how much safer it is.
>jammcc: EEGHNOT J4 NOH +32 231
#note This game is gonna be quite the battle.
>skaplan31: DEEENOS A8 .EE +12 251
#note I'm glad to at least be able to keep the COTTAGERS hook. F9 M(O)T(E)Y is pretty cool too.
>jammcc: BDEEGIT D3 BEIG. +16 247
>skaplan31: DENORSS L6 DOS +29 280
#note I really love how this sets up my E nicely, and I didn't care for doing 8G (JINNI)S as that's just too obvious of a fish.
>jammcc: DEIPTTU 14H .PTITUDE +76 323
#note Jamie did have M1 PUTTIED for 89 here. I didn't stop him from bingoing either way.
>skaplan31: AEHNNRS 15M NAH +38 318
#note Mhm
>jammcc: ADIISUV F4 DUI. +7 330
>skaplan31: ENRSSUW M3 RUNES +25 343
>jammcc: AEIKOSV 12J .EVO +16 346
#note We're both playing it pretty safe in a close game thus far.
>skaplan31: EEINSUW B10 WE +26 369
#note Even though I empty the bag, I do go up by 23 which is a pretty decent leave on this board, especially because if Jamie doesn't have parallels on Column N (which would require him to make the blank an E in some cases), he pretty much will have to parallel on Column C or use Row 4 giving me a nice counterplay there.
>jammcc: ACDIKST 4L T.CK +30 376
#note As for this position, Jamie has no wins here, even if this play guarantees him an out play in 2 spots. C1 IKATS is also 30, but then I have N2 vENUS, mENUS, or gENUS for 29 which can outrun his only out play of 3L CRED.
>skaplan31: ?EIINSU O4 .INEsIS +30 399
#note Pretty much most 6 tile plays of this nature will win, but not this one by convention. I'm not sure most people would have spotted the extension though.
>jammcc: ADIS I2 DAIS +14 390
#note I clearly did not think of the DIA(KINEsIS) extension! That play should have been a loser. Something I thought was a sure win would not have been one. Well, here's to finishing 2nd after winning another close one.
