>skaplan31: BEIILRW - +0 0
#note Rd 5 Philly virtual 6-6-2021. I'm 2nd.
>jammcc: EIJNOTT 8D JOINT +40 40
#note This or JETTON are fine, I like this play better to place a less dangerous floater in the 2x2 lane.
>skaplan31: BEIILRW E6 BL.WIER +24 24
#note I considered this and D8 JIBER. JIBER is 4 more, but ILW just wasn't appealing to me on this board. Q also puts H8 TWIBIL, which I did not know, as another decent option which does keep better. I ended up going for better balance between scoring and leave, and my play does jump to the top of the sim.
>jammcc: EGIOSTU H1 GOUTIES. +80 120
#note BLOWIER or JIBER on my previous turn does not prevent this from coming down.
>skaplan31: AIIOOOR 4H .ORII +10 34
#note Yuck. As much as I really didn't wanna have to exchange, it probably was better to do that as AOO is a crappy leave. Maybe exchanging down to AR would have been fine.
>jammcc: AHNOPVY 12A VAPO.Y +36 156
#note I would have fallen even further behind no matter what. While this play is good, I do like F2 PHONY better at this score to play some defense on the floaters in GOUTIEST. Jamie could also do F2 PHONY if he thinks that I won't recognize the APHONY hook.
>skaplan31: AEIOOST A11 O.ATE +24 58
#note I did see C12 POO but that's just too likely to be addressed. This is fine.
>jammcc: AEHILNP 2B APHELI.N +80 236
#note Nice find, but 15A ELAPHINE is 98 for him.
>skaplan31: BILOSUZ 3L BIZ +32 90
#note While I missed 3B BOIL to save my Z for another score, now I have even less to lose here. A8 SUB(OVATE) is a cool extension that I missed too, and ILOZ is compatible with this pool knowing there's 8 Es left.
>jammcc: AAENRRS O1 ARE +24 260
#note This, ARENA, or ANEAR are all fine in this spot, I do like Jamie's play better to not make the right side of the board hard to block.
>skaplan31: DELOSUW B11 W.LED +32 122
#note Maybe 13A ALOW?
>jammcc: AMNRRSV K4 .NVAR +16 276
#note Looks fine.
>skaplan31: ?CEOQSU 8K .OQUE +45 167
#note No bingoes exist. This is fine.
>jammcc: AMORSTU M8 .UARTO +32 308
#note I really like 1A AMOUR here for nice scoring and defense.
>skaplan31: ?CEEELS 14G LEEChES +80 247
#note At this score, I did purposely pass up 14I CELEStE as I'm gonna want to be able to hit a big X play and/or a Column 15 bingo as well as keep the QUARTO floaters open. I did not see O8 (E)LECtEES, but I would have passed that up too as I do keep QUARTO floaters open. 14G fLEECES would have been OK too, but that doesn't score as much, and CELEStE would have been my play if I was ahead.
>jammcc: AADDMNS 15D ADMAN +35 343
#note I like H10 DAMN(E)D better to eliminate the bingo lanes thru the floaters in QUARTOS.
>skaplan31: ACIKNSY F4 KAY +33 280
#note I did not see C2 (P)YKNIC, but I would have passed that up too as Column B still exists after this play.
>jammcc: DGSTTUX 10L T.X +26 369
#note That's a nice block all around.
>skaplan31: CGIINOS O10 INCOGS +47 327
#note Perfect play to make to make it hard for Jamie to decide how to play the pre endgame leaving 2 in the bag.
>jammcc: DEGNSTU I8 STUNG +20 389
#note My gut feeling is that Jamie thought that even if I don't have a bingo, I can still win the game if I do N2 FEZ then go out if he doesn't draw any vowels. A better way of outrunning in this case is C10 UN(P)EG for 32. Trying to go for a bingo by fishing off 1 tile is very risky because I could still hit a bingo thru the A in APHELION.
>skaplan31: ?DEFIMR B1 R.MiFIED +65 392
#note B2 (A)FfIRMED also works for the same score.

Jamie played very nicely this game, INCOGS proved to be basically a Hail Mary play to go for the 2nd blank and I got lucky in the end as FH was a terrible draw for him after STUNG. Choosing CELEStE or fLEECES would have changed the board entirely, and not in my favor.
