>skaplan31: AAEHNYY - +0 0
#note Rd 4 Philly virtual 5-16-2021. I'm 2nd.
>joeboy2: ?AEELTU 8C ELUATEs +64 64
#note He has 3 other bingoes besides this one: EmULATE, EpAULET, and TEgULAE. I would have gone with TEgULAE as the G is a clunkier tile to make a blank than an S, and TEgULAE doesn't take any hooks.
>skaplan31: AAEHNYY 9I HAYEY +30 30
#note My 3 candidate plays here were this, 7F HAYEY, and 7B HYENA. I didn't like 7B HYENA because that allows Joel to close the ES in ELUATES easily and makes Row 6 very difficult to use. 7F HAYEY poses similar problems as he can close the left side of ELUATES. This play opens up 2 nice scoring spots in 1 move while keeping ELUATES floaters available longer.
>joeboy2: ADENNRT 8L DARN +31 95
#note Looks fine. He did also have a 2x2 NATURED for 32, but I like leaving ENT much better than just N.
>skaplan31: AGGNSST F2 GANGST.S +66 96
#note This also plays at F7 for the same score. I also saw GANGSTERS thru a hypothetical ER.
>joeboy2: AEENPST 4D PE.TANES +72 167
#note This does play at 4A for 6 more, but I don't mind the defense of this placement.
>skaplan31: BDEIOTX 10H BOX +58 154
#note Best play.
>joeboy2: EEIOOSU D8 .OUIE +10 177
>skaplan31: DEIILTU 6A UTILI.ED +61 215
#note Yep
>joeboy2: DEEMOST N1 MODESTE. +76 253
#note I hate it when an opponent's suboptimal play results in my bingoes getting blocked. In fact, I saw 2 and neither play now because of that. 11I DEMOTES is 87 for him and much safer.
>skaplan31: EIKMNOR O1 MIEN +47 262
#note 3H MONIKER for 89 and O5/O6 MONNIKER for 64 if he didn't make his last move. Maybe O1 IKON is better immediate equity, but the K is a good tile on this board for M2 plays as well as Row 7 plays. Not as big of a mistake as it normally might be.
>joeboy2: ?HIJORZ J2 JO. +26 279
>skaplan31: ACGIKOR A4 KA.RI +42 304
#note I initially saw 7K COKE, but this is better to take out the 3x3.
>joeboy2: ?HIRRVZ K4 .HIV +20 299
#note H1 VIZ(A)R(D) is a very nice play!
>skaplan31: CGLNOOR H10 .RONCO +33 337
#note Whenever possible, gotta score again. Best by far.
>joeboy2: ?OPRRWZ 6J Z.P +34 333
#note Looks good.
>skaplan31: AEFGILL E11 FLAG +28 365
#note Hard to tell whether he's keeping the blank. He could have had it based on his last 3 plays all being in an area with more traffic, but he did play off some clunky tiles. I did consider 12G FOLIAGE too, but he could still hit bingoes from the N in DARN. I decided to take the points.
>joeboy2: ?DEORRW O8 .aRROWED +86 419
#note 15H (O)vERWORD is 95 for him, followed by the hard to see M7 D(AY)WORkER for 89. I thought I could get by with the not very good pool unseen to me. Guess not.
>skaplan31: AAEIILN 2I A.I +10 375
#note This was a mistake however. B4 AIT needed to be done to keep Row 2 open as well as Row 15. #findingbad
>joeboy2: BIQRTUV 14K QUIR. +28 447
#note And I did pay for my mistake like I should have.
>skaplan31: AEILNOW M3 OWE +28 403
#note Just gonna go out in 2 knowing he has clunk.
>joeboy2: BCFTV C5 C.V.T +18 465
#note Best for him.
>skaplan31: AILN 14B ALI.N +16 419
#note Or LINGA in the same spot.

MODESTER did irk me, but AJI was not a good move to make to let him ice the game. Nice game Joel!
