>skaplan31: AAEGOST 8F AGO +8 8
#note Rd 6 Philly virtual 4-4-2021. This is fine with an S in hand.
>semihobo1: ?CDFILO 9F DIF +20 20
#note Carole's only bingo was F2 FuCOID(A)L for 73. This is best nonbingo.
>skaplan31: ADEESTW I9 SWEATED +72 80
#note I don't know how to update my Quackle with NWL2020 which is why I'm seeing this word at E2 as the best play. That shouldn't be the case with the new lexicon because of DAGO*. This is the only spot I have for this bingo.
>semihobo1: ?CCELOT 12D CoLOC.TE +78 98
#note Her best bingo is 15B OCCuLTE(D) for 95, followed by 12H C(A)TEChOL for 80. This is still a nice find.
>skaplan31: AAEINTU 15G AU.IENT +27 107
#note I did like how well this turns over tiles with a vowel-heavy rack, but H11 ACUTE is a better play for 9 more.
>semihobo1: AEIKLWX J12 .AX. +54 152
#note Too bad WAXLIKE doesn't play for her, that would have been sick. This is her best play, and it's why ACUTE was better.
>skaplan31: ABIPQUV K8 PIQU. +32 139
#note I considered this, M11 QUBIT, 7C QUIP, and F6 QUAD. QUBIT does keep better, but it's entirely possible that Carol was keeping a hook to COLOCATE after she played that. 7C QUIP might normally be a very nice and aggressive move when I'm behind, but I'm gonna be behind no matter what move I make. The same thing can be said about QUAD, with an added disadvantage of keeping the pretty crappy ABIPV leave (I guess I could save 11E BAP for next turn). With all of that said, I just thought that the COLOCATE hooks are too dangerous to leave open.
>semihobo1: EIKLRWY 8K .ERKY +45 197
#note Her best play.
>skaplan31: ABIIOVZ L4 BAIZ. +32 171
#note Crap, 10D BIZ!!
>semihobo1: EHILUVW M2 VIEW +29 226
#note 5F VIHUELA plays excellent defense for her, which is worth considering at this score. It does take out the SAGO hook and leaves me with not very good floaters to bingo with.
>skaplan31: IMOPRSV E2 IMPROVS +83 254
#note Got lucky, if she did VIHUELA, this doesn't play!
>semihobo1: AFHLORU K3 FOH +41 267
#note Nice play by her again.
>skaplan31: ?AEEHNU D3 HUE +29 283
#note Best play. Good thing I don't telegraph the blank.
>semihobo1: ADLORUY C3 OY +34 301
#note C3 ODYL does play for 44.
>skaplan31: ?AEIMNO 14A ENcOMIA +72 355
#note I did not know N6 kA(K)IEMON. This is 7 more anyway. After looking for some time, this is the only other bingo that plays.
>semihobo1: ADELLRU L12 DUR. +36 337
#note She had a 3x3 LAURELED for 140! And it's shocking that the COLOCATE hooks stayed open for as long as they did.
>skaplan31: BEORRTT A10 BETT.R +27 382
#note I did see J2 BORT, but leaving the E in the 7th position of a 3x3 is way too risky with this mostly bingo friendly and consonant-heavy unseen pool. With 3 Ls left, bingoes ending in -LY could very well happen, so for that reason, I wanted to at least have Column B as another bingo lane.
>semihobo1: ADEELLN O1 LEADENL. +92 429
#note Wowzer. Nice find!
>skaplan31: GLNNOOR B5 LORGNON +70 452
#note If I don't see this bingo, I don't have much of a chance.
>semihobo1: AAEINRS A1 ARISEN +25 454
#note She just had to block my clear best play of N12 JIGS and go out in 2 to get me. Her winning move was N8 KINARAS or N10 NAIRAS. I don't have much of a scoring spot with the J on this board besides N12 JIGS.
>skaplan31: GIJST N12 JIGS +33 485
#note I would have had E11 JO or 1A AJIS, both resulting in the same spread, and then her out play would have been 2M VEE for 12.
>semihobo1: A 8A A. +9 463
#note She had 7L ZA for 15.

So safe to say, despite how well overall we both played this game, she did have a win and missed it. I did not win with optimal endgame play, she lost with suboptimal endgame play. There is a difference. Finished 4-2 and 4th of 11 because there was a sub due to a dropout.
