#note Rd 4 Philly virtual 4-4-2021. Not the easiest exchange, but keeping the X isn't gonna help for some exchanges such as this one. I did consider MAX for 24, but short X plays are just too likely to get paralleled, which will result in a kind of board I don't want to play on. I also considered keeping the M with ARS too, but early on, I had nothing to lose. Q thinks I should have kept the M too, it does have nice synergy with ARS.
>TheBigEZ: BEILOTW H7 BOW +16 16
#note This is fine along with 8H ELBOW or 8D BLEWIT.
>skaplan31: AEFIRSY I5 FAY +24 24
#note Best play.
>TheBigEZ: EILMNTW J6 WELT +36 52
#note Nice play on his part too.
>skaplan31: AEIRSTU -U +0 24
#note 9J TUI? Really? This and H1 AUREI/URAEI top the sim. I'm close enough to a bingo that will easily play on this board that the exchange is worth it.
>TheBigEZ: AHIMNRT G6 HAM +23 75
#note Looks fine, he could also do G3 HITMAN.
>skaplan31: AEIRSST K1 SATIRES +80 104
#note Yayyy
>TheBigEZ: DEEINRT 1E NERDIE.T +80 155
#note I like this over TRENDIES to make lucrative 2J plays harder to accomplish.
>skaplan31: FGMNRXY 4J M.NGY +22 126
#note I did this over FIX, MIX, or MINX in the same spot in the hopes of drawing nice X plays on Row 2 as this goes for vowels better.
>TheBigEZ: ?EGINQU F1 .QUINE +44 199
#note No bingoes play. This is best for him.
>skaplan31: ADFIORX 2J F. +26 152
#note Gonna go the scoring route after Ed is random. I'm hoping to draw EXORDIA.
>TheBigEZ: ?GLNNOS 10B LONGaNS +68 267
#note Even though 4A SNOoL(I)NG and GLoNO(I)NS are both 72 each, he's gonna go up by more than 100. This is the only 7 and is a nice find and quite frankly, a much safer play.
>skaplan31: ACDIORX D7 AXO.IC +46 198
#note N2 OXYACID is a slightly better find than this for 52. Missing that would prove costly.
>TheBigEZ: HIIOSUZ N2 SO.UZ +74 341
#note His next best scoring play is 5D ZINS for 35. That's why it's a huge deal while it might not have seemed like one. Nice play Ed!
>skaplan31: ADEORUV 8A DOU. +36 234
#note Now I have pretty much no choice.
>TheBigEZ: CDHIIIV B10 .ICHI +20 361
>skaplan31: AEOPRTV K9 OVERAPT +76 310
#note I at least have a fighting chance now.
>TheBigEZ: BDIIKRV O1 KID +29 390
#note I would have done O1 VID here, BV isn't a good combo to keep together.
>skaplan31: AEEEIPR O5 PARE +33 343
#note Rough position. I considered this, 15H PEATIER, and O6 AERIE. AERIE does set up my P nicely, and PEATIER does get me out of the vowel mess, but I needed the most space to be open. Making an N6 play was just gonna do some work for him. If I wanna win this game, I gotta draw the blank and hope Ed doesn't have an effective block of any sort.
>TheBigEZ: ?BIOORV 15F OBVIa.OR +89 479
#note That hope didn't last too long. Only bingo for him and another nice find.
>skaplan31: AEEEILN N8 ALIENEE +70 413
#note Kinda late now, but I'll take another bingo.
>TheBigEZ: ADLRTTU 13J L.UD.R +14 493
#note I was shocked he missed my only out play of 12G JAEGER though.
>skaplan31: AEEGJ 12F JAEGE. +17 430
#note Very nice game Ed. While OBVIATOR proved to be the final death blow, missing OXYACID was where I truly lost this game.
>skaplan31: (ATT) +6 436
