>MsSpeller: AELPQSS - +0 0
#note Rd 3 Philly virtual 4-4-2021. I'm first.
>skaplan31: BBEEISZ 8G BIZE +30 30
#note Definitely the right placement with an S.
>MsSpeller: AELPQSS K4 LEAPS +30 30
#note This is a fine play- H7 QIS is a much clearer telegraph of an S, and this is more Jill's style anyway where she just plays for score.
>skaplan31: BEFNNSU 4J F.UB +18 48
#note Looked for some time, and there are no super high scoring plays, so I'll set up my S, fork nicely, and keep the best of them all. I could also 6J FAUN, but that just allows Jill to score easily on Column L some of the time.
>MsSpeller: AGIJQSU 6J J.G +27 57
#note Looks good to me- it's worth it to give up 15 points over doing N4 SUQ here with her rather potent leave.
>skaplan31: EEHINNS 9F HEN +14 62
#note HEBES* with the new dictionary. This play is best.
>MsSpeller: AHIOQSU 10B QUASI +43 100
#note Best for her.
>skaplan31: EEIKNRS D7 SNE.KIER +76 138
#note Yep. Only bingo.
>MsSpeller: EHIMOOU C12 MHO +32 132
#note 7J OPIUM would have made her H very valuable- she could draw 11D KHET or KHEDA and the like, and if that doesn't work out, she could at least have a backup option with 6N plays with the EHO leave.
>skaplan31: ?MORUYY B14 MY +24 162
#note Best play.
>MsSpeller: EEIIOOU -EIIOOU +0 132
#note That's why MHO was kinda risky for her despite the extra immediate points.
>skaplan31: ?ALORUY M2 RU.Y +18 180
#note 8A YUAN is a slightly higher scoring play, but this at least forks better with my blank in hand.
>MsSpeller: ACEERRW 8A WRE. +21 153
#note I think 2J WEARER is worth it here- she creates 2 nice scoring lines while she's behind.
>skaplan31: ?AAIILO 11A AI +13 193
#note Definitely liked this over E3 AIOLI to keep as much stuff open as possible.
>MsSpeller: ACEIRRT 11F ERRATIC +74 227
#note The anagram CIRRATE does play for 2 more in this spot.
>skaplan31: ?ADILOO E1 DIAbOLO +66 259
#note With the X still unseen, this is much safer over B1 IDOLAtO(R) which I also saw and considered for the same score.
>MsSpeller: ADEFINX 2B INF.XED +68 295
#note Anything could have happened after ERRATIC. Nice play Jill!
>skaplan31: ALOPRTU 1G PORTAL +40 299
#note Missed UPROOTAL at 5A/5B. I considered this, 1G PATROL, and 1E DOPA. DOPA is only 3 more but this goes for the other blank better. There's other places to score on this board so I wasn't worried about a few more possible underlaps with PORTAL over PATROL.
>MsSpeller: ANOOTTW 3G WAT +27 322
#note I think this is perfectly safe to make over 2K WORT. H11 ROWAN would have been very nice to make if she had the other blank.
>skaplan31: ?DEENTU L11 .UE +10 309
#note I thought I might have missed something, but I didn't miss any bingoes. I was hoping to force a response that might give up a bingo line.
>MsSpeller: EEINOOT 7J O. +14 336
#note 7J OPINE is really nice.
>skaplan31: ?ADENOT 13F ENDOsT.A +70 379
#note After Jill's fish, this defensive bingo must come down, no question. My daring move of CUE worked out this time. I wanted to be able to close down the right side of the board better knowing the ENDOSTEAL hook can be drawn (as well as the Vs) with this over 14F TAlONED, TANgOED, etc. as Jill would simply parallel on Row 15 if she didn't draw a bingo.
>MsSpeller: CEEINOT H13 .OC +18 354
#note I don't fault her for making this play. What is Quackle thinking with 3B TOEA besides for equity reasons?
>skaplan31: DGLNTVV M12 T.V +8 387
#note Looks fine, I'm clearly not emptying the bag with this very strong unseen pool and my lack of vowels
>MsSpeller: EEIINOT 2K TI.E +12 366
#note Even if she fishes off the O in the hopes of drawing SIENITE or INVITEE, it's over, I just block those bingoes and that wins. She doesn't have any Row 5 bingoes thru the O.
>skaplan31: ADGGLNV O2 DANG +13 400
#note D2 FLAG is 10 more, I can't block EOSIN or NOISE.
>MsSpeller: EINOS 15J NOISE +13 379
#note I'm shocked she did miss EOSIN though. She did lose 20 points for going more than 1 minute of OT. Final score was 400-373. I got lucky in a different way this time in the sense that the right tile was in the bag when there was 1 in the bag.
