>skaplan31: ENNOTUX - +0 0
#note Rd 1 Philly virtual 4-4-2021. I'm first.
>Vassargrad: AIIOTTU H8 IOTA +8 8
#note Nothing is that good here, I'd exchange down to AT.
>skaplan31: ENNOTUX 10H .UX +26 26
#note Already a missed bingo, nice start. I don't know why I also have trouble seeing the word XENON sometimes. 3rd best play, but a distant 3rd.
>Vassargrad: AFITUWY 11D FATW. +22 30
#note She has G5 WIFTY for 33, that's the highest scoring play as no good leaves exist.
>skaplan31: AEGNNOT G3 NEGATON +66 92
#note There we go.
>Vassargrad: BEIKMUY 12C KEY +35 65
#note F6 YUK is a nice one.
>skaplan31: CLNOPST H1 PLOT +26 118
#note CLOT, CLON, or PLOT are all about equal- decided to hang onto the C for future blocking plays if needed.
>Vassargrad: BBILMRU F6 BUM +30 95
>skaplan31: CEHNQSS -CHQS +0 118
#note Exchanging just QS might be a better play with floating vowels on the board, but since there are none, I kinda needed to exchange more than just QS. Ss do have limited value on this board besides the IOTAS hook, so it was certainly to my benefit to get rid of one. Cheryl is keeping anything after BUM.
>Vassargrad: ABDIILR 13B BID +31 126
#note Looks fine.
>skaplan31: EENNRRS 9J ERN +12 130
#note Definitely need to make something happen and get another lane going. On a board that has no floating vowels, 14B ENS or ERS didn't seem quite worth it, especially because I just threw back an S last turn.
>Vassargrad: AADILOR 8J LAIR +20 146
>skaplan31: CEINRRS 14A RIN +21 151
#note Very close in the sim with 14A RINSER for 39. Now that my S has more value than it previously did, this looks fine.
>Vassargrad: ADELMOT 15B DOM +23 169
#note Considering this isn't a very good board for scoring, I'm definitely not against this move.
>skaplan31: ?CCEERS N8 SECRECy +87 238
#note Now let's take out both easy S hooks in 1 play with this over N2 CoERCES for the same score. These 2 bingoes score the most out of any.
>Vassargrad: AAEGLLT L4 ELAT..G +16 185
>skaplan31: ?EEEIJV 14J JIVE. +30 268
#note Gotta enjoy defense when possible.
>Vassargrad: AADLOQU 15H ADO +21 206
#note I don't think QU bingoes are gonna be that easy to hit on this board- I would just take the 54 with QUOD and hope for the best.
>skaplan31: ?EEHIOZ 12J HEEZ. +34 302
#note This is a sim winner- THEORIZE, HEROIZES, and HEROIZED are the only 8s I saw (and those that exist with this rack). No home for HErOIZE and this is about even in the sim with L12 HIVE.
>Vassargrad: AELQSUY 6J QU.Y +36 242
#note Best play for her.
>skaplan31: ?AEIOOU 13M E.O +34 336
#note And this was a sneaky upside of doing HEEZE, vowel heavy racks can be played thru with moves like this.
>Vassargrad: ADEELSV N2 LAVES +39 281
#note Nice play.
>skaplan31: ?AHIIOU 10E HI +20 356
#note If I didn't have the blank, I would have done E3 OHIA to take out Column E bingoes and then Row 1 next turn if needed. Even though Cheryl might be more random after LAVES, she could have kept or drawn another S at this point.
>Vassargrad: ADEFOPR 12J .....D +26 307
#note Hmm
>skaplan31: ?AIINOU E3 INIA +13 369
#note Cheryl's last play did scare me a bit, so I'm gonna allow her the P which is harder to hit than Column E.
>Vassargrad: AEFOPRT D3 PA +16 323
#note Nice play to giver her some hope.
>skaplan31: ?NORSSU C4 SUbORNS +61 430
#note While I did not know SUNdRO(P)S, this is a better move anyway. What the hell is Quackle thinking with doing E10 HAYS? That loses with an E draw as she has FIGWORT. Therefore, as Herm Edwards once famously said in a football postgame interview, "You play to win the game!" So I did by overruling Quackle.
>Vassargrad: EFIORTW O1 TOW +25 348
#note 3J FERIA is the best move in this endgame because that blocks my best out play of L3 G(ELATING) as well as my 2nd best out play of 3G (NO)G and gives me 12 off her rack. I simply failed to spot GELATING.
>skaplan31: G 3G ..G +6 436
#note Turns out I only had one other out play with the G, 7B GO.

TONNEAUX was a whiff, taking out Column E over exchanging was sweet to allow Cheryl 1 chance to bingo thru the P with INIA before I shut down the board.

Not a badly played game, to Cheryl's credit she did give herself a 2nd line to work with like she should have. I just got very lucky with my 3rd bingo.
