>skaplan31: ADFIMOU 8D MIAOU +20 20
#note Rd 4 Philly virtual 3-28-2021. MIAOU, FOU, and ODIUM were my candidate plays. FOU might be OK against a lower rated player, but against Mitchell, only ODIUM or MIAOU are worth thinking about. MIAOU is much harder to overlap than ODIUM which is what I was looking for.
>DaBag: DNORSWX F6 DR.WN +15 15
#note F5 ONWARD might keep the best but I do understand him passing that up. The play that's more my style is E8 INDOW.
>skaplan31: ADFINOR D3 FANDO. +24 44
#note Tough turn here. Mitchell is definitely consonant heavy after DRAWN. He won't score much by playing thru the vowels after FANDOM, whereas he might be able to better get himself out of trouble after FORAM or INFORM. E10 OF was also worth considering but I wasn't crazy about ADINR on this board.
>DaBag: DNOOSSX I5 DONS +14 29
>skaplan31: IIJLRTZ C2 TIZ +45 89
#note It didn't matter that he was telegraphing another S and potentially the X. There was no stopping his potential X plays when I gotta just score myself.
>DaBag: AMORSTX J4 MAX +56 85
#note I guessed correctly, didn't I?
>skaplan31: EEIIJLR K2 RIEL +20 109
#note 4A JE(ZA)IL would have been 10 more and forced a response from him that would allow me to open the board more. If he takes the J spot, I could have a nice Column K reparallel. #findingmeh
>DaBag: ELORSTW L4 WELT +35 120
#note Got lucky he missed 1I TROWELS for 97. That's why RIEL was a pretty big mistake. He wouldn't have had a playable bingo after JEZAIL.
>skaplan31: ?EIIJQT B1 QI +26 135
#note This was not a mistake though.
>DaBag: ANOOPRS E4 PO +26 146
#note SOPRANO does play at A2 for 89.
>skaplan31: ?EEIJOT 10B JETO. +28 163
#note Mhm
>DaBag: AEINORS K7 ERASION +66 212
#note I would go on to miss the ORIEL and ARIEL hooks myself as well the entire game. That's where ERASION should be played, at 1I for 79.
>skaplan31: ?EEEIIU -EEIIU +0 163
#note YUCK
>DaBag: BDFGKTV -BDFGKTV +0 212
#note Too comical now.
>skaplan31: ?CEEGII 13F EpIGE.IC +74 237
#note This one I'm glad to have found. Brings back nice memories of my 712 game where I bingoed for the 4th time in a row with this word.
>DaBag: AELRSTU A2 SALUTER +77 289
#note 1F ESTRUAL for 79.
>skaplan31: ?AADEII M7 AIDE +12 249
#note I did see AEcIDIA but I missed the friggin spot on Row 1!!!
>DaBag: ABENTVY H12 V.NY +42 331
#note Clearly best for him.
>skaplan31: ?AAIRSY N1 AIRwAYS +88 337
#note Same old Row 1 story. I did see all playable bingoes- this, pIRAYAS, AgYRIAS, and 2G dISA(R)RAY.
>DaBag: ABEENPT 1L BE.T +27 358
>skaplan31: BEGHKTU 14B TEUGH +47 384
#note First play I saw was L12 KITH for 42. Definitely glad to have found this play as I can now hit him hard with L12 plays next turn if need be.
>DaBag: ACEGHNP 15A PEH +31 389
#note Tough call for him, he does have to score and when the pool gets this ugly. I did put him in a harder spot by leaving 3 in the bag such that if he does score anything, he'll give me endgame timing.
>skaplan31: BEKLORU 11D OK +26 410
#note Just needed to find a play that would allow me to outrun 13A CAF by going out in 2. He would have to give up so many points to block 2F BURLER in this case. I could have also done L12 KILO, but then I only have 1 out play for RUBE and that's at G3 which he can still block by doing 6H VOX without giving up 13A CAF, which there's not really a good way to block that. With my play, I let him have a high scoring play in which I can then easily go out and get some points off his rack.
>DaBag: ACFGNOV 2J F.O +18 407
#note While I also gave him 13A CONGA, he's officially screwed. Oh wait, he just gave up some spread by blocking BURLER as this gives me a better spot to go out.
>skaplan31: BELRU 1F RUBLE +26 436
#note And that's how you play an effective endgame.
>skaplan31: (ACGNV) +22 458
