#note HOPPY, round 2.

I thought this was about equal to exchanging but I guess I don't know anything about leaves. ANS scoring 0 vs ANSU scoring 6. I think I just don't like giving my opponent the first word on the board because you just know they have a QU- five or something.

#note NU has too many hooks, this gives back way less by comparison. Still, this is the kind of play where I already know it's going to bomb when I hit the sim button. I already know exchange 2 is going to win. It's always exchange 2. Do the best players do an exchange 2 once per game or something?

>MattL: AEERRSS H12 RASE +21 34
#note I'm trying to imagine my reaction if someone played off AERS at the start of a game. When is that ever a good play? That's why I spent 3.5 minutes here, because I couldn't understand how it could be a good play. I was pretty sure I was losing this game.

#note Really?
>CarDust: AGHLOQS 9C QA. +22 104
>MattL: BBCEFIT F6 FIT +31 151
#note Don't ask me why I didn't just play BEFIT.
>CarDust: ?EGHLOS B10 HO.LS +38 142
>MattL: BBCEOPS A7 BEBOP +42 193
#note Oh because I was hoping to draw BEBOP, now I remember.
>CarDust: ?AEEEGO D2 AGEE +12 154
>MattL: CORSTTZ B6 COT +17 210
#note AGEE might not have meant anything, but I sensed that danger was lurking. It went down so fast, I thought she was holding the R-hook. I flat out missed the Z bomb this turn, but thankfully it's unlikely to be blocked and I could just stumble into it on a later turn. I liked that COT killed an easy bingo line.
>CarDust: ?AEMOOY C2 YAM +31 185
#note OO(G)AMY for 32!
>MattL: ANRSTUZ 8D Z.. +43 253
#note Aha!
>CarDust: ??DEOOV 15G b.hOOVED +64 249
#note Her highest scoring bingo! F12 (H)OVE is pulling away in the sim though, that's pretty hilarious. Would anyone actually do that? I mean really, you're blocking the open E so what's the plan after that?
>MattL: AINRSTU B1 URN +22 275
#note I was extremely close to playing (S)UN but I decided that it would lead me down a path of despair. The board simply wasn't good enough for fishing, especially when I don't even have an E. I did want to keep the R for RAGEE though. 1D RUTIN scores 25, but also opens up the top-right, I wasn't so sure I wanted to do that.
>CarDust: DEGNORY 14H .OY +28 277
#note A small fishing boat
>MattL: AFIISTW M12 WIF. +20 295
#note All I can do is shrug on this one.
>CarDust: DEGNNPR L11 NEG +21 298
>MattL: AIINSTU K9 UNI +10 305
#note I didn't see I(XI)AS for 29, so I figured I needed to take full advantage of this last S.
>CarDust: ADMNPRV 13G ..P +16 314
#note I'm definitely playing L6 VAMP - I think my last two plays indicated I likely had the S.
>MattL: AEILRST 1D RETAILS +81 386
>CarDust: ADMNRTV N13 DA. +25 339
#note And without the P, this rack is suddenly an anchor.
>MattL: ACDEIKT 2J ICKED +32 418
>MattL: ACDEIKT -- -32 386
#note Okay, I know there's no good way to explain this, but let me try. I knew ICKS was valid. I also didn't like ICKED* very much, but if ICKS was valid then maybe there was like a 25% chance ICKED* was valid. I only had 3 minutes and I couldn't find a great way to score. I can't imagine there's any bingos, but I still felt nervous about emptying the bag. If ICKED* stays on I'm probably in the clear. If it comes off, at least I'll know what's in the bag. Maybe she'll decide to empty it, and then I can just play off a bunch of letters and go out.

Yes I know I'm terrible.
>CarDust: EMNRTUV L7 VUM +13 352
>MattL: ACDEIKT J1 .TACKED +18 404
#note And I knew this gave her JA(K)ER which meant my spread wasn't going to be of much help this tourney. With 53 seconds I was worried I'd wait until 5 secs left and then make a typo or something. I gotta adapt to online tourneys!
