Flip a coin (a four-sided one) between HOYLE, HOLEY, HOYA, and COYED. HOYA and COYED leave a bit better, but I was swayed by the potential parallel givebacks, which seem slightly less hazardous with HOYLE.

#note Sim wants to pig the points with 12L KNEW, keeping EEI. In a shootout I thought it was more important to stay balanced and ready to strike. I also don't mind covering up this particular hotspot; there are plenty of others of course, but none which can swing the game quite like this one.

#note Listen, don't take this rack the wrong way. WE(A)N is co-best with 1A JINNE(E), which I looked for and missed. I think JINNEE is probably better here: as open as the board is now, it can close in a hurry; hence dropping a soft lifeline to the left side of the board is something I was definitely looking to do.
