>Hercules: EEFLOSY - +0 0
#note Rd 5. I'm first. If I win this game, I put myself in a good position to win the tourney.
>skaplan31: DEGLNQS -DGLQ +0 0
#note Maybe keeping DENS is a nice happy medium between going for leave and going for a blank, but LN together is too polarizing for my liking given what's on the line.
>Hercules: EEFLOSY 8G FEY +18 18
#note I think FOLEY 8H is fine for him here, I am random enough after an exchange 4 and I don't always have an S.
>skaplan31: AENNPST H2 PENTAN.S +61 61
#note Only bingo.
>Hercules: AEELOSU G7 A.OUL +16 34
#note His best play.
>skaplan31: CDEERVW I1 DEW +24 85
#note This kind of move is preferable against John both for the board and the leave over I3 WE, G3 WE, or I3 WEED.
>Hercules: EEGIIRS J1 EGER +28 62
>skaplan31: CEMORUV 1I ..CORUM +39 124
#note There is a very funny phony that I found with this rack which you can all fend for yourselves on. This play is 2nd best behind I1 (DE)CURVE which I missed for 3 more.
>Hercules: IIIJMRS 4D MIRI. +14 76
#note His options are gross here, it really depends on the kind of board one would want here. This is OK along with 6H AJI, he does need to open something up.
>skaplan31: ?EEOOVV 11C OVEr.OVE +76 200
#note Well then, I'm glad I could make something out of a pretty gross rack! This and 11B cOEVO(L)VE both open up some nice scoring spots all around.
>Hercules: AAIJNOS K7 JOINS +52 128
#note I would have done K11 SOJA here, he'll have an easier time getting back in this one this way.
>skaplan31: ACDDORT L6 CORD +23 223
#note JOINS could indicate he's keeping anything because it did score nicely for him. H11 OCTAD is still a better play scorewise and it doesn't allow John to reparallel easily.
>Hercules: AADNQTT 3A QANAT +34 162
#note This does play at 5A for 2 more.
>skaplan31: AADIITW 5B WAIT +25 248
#note I could probably tack the A onto this, but there's only 3 As left.
>Hercules: BDGGNNT -BDGGN +0 162
>skaplan31: ADHIISS H11 .HIAS +36 284
#note There we go. I didn't mind the aggression after he exchanged 5 tiles.
>Hercules: AKNORTU 15A OUTRANK. +89 251
#note Are you serious
>skaplan31: BDEINPS 6A BEND +25 309
#note While I did miss N1 UPBIND, I do block a lot of QUA- plays at A3. So this miss isn't so bad after all.
>Hercules: ?EFHIIU 2N HI +24 275
>skaplan31: IILLPSX 14B XI +38 347
>Hercules: ?EFIRTU 13C FRUIT.Er +86 361
#note This is a nice fit. A cool bingo that plays which I would never have seen is 9A FRUTIc(OS)E.
>skaplan31: EILLPSZ A6 .LIP +24 371
#note Nope
>Hercules: DEEGLOY 2B YO +22 383
>skaplan31: ABELSTZ B8 SEZ +38 409
#note While I should have seen the Z play last turn, I did at least give myself a 2nd scoring spot with the Z while I already had ZA 2B. This play does win for me as John would leave a lot of points on his rack to block M7 BA next turn.
>Hercules: ADEEGGL 4J .AGGED +22 405
#note This is correct over 14J EGGED as my out play would have been more points.
>skaplan31: ABLT E7 TABL. +7 416
#note Correct over doing M7 BA- I win by 15 with this whereas if I do M7 BA for 25, that puts me up by 29 but then John does I6 LEY for 13 plus my 4 which gives me a 12 point win.

Not perfect but good enough to pull this out in the end.
>skaplan31: (EL) +4 420
