#note Rd 5. I'm 2nd but Woogles had me going first.
>hellacia: AIOPTYZ 8H TOPAZ +52 52
#note Easily best for her.
>skaplan31: CEFILLO 9I FIL +25 25
#note There were no good options that scored and saved the E and I for the TOPAZINE extension. This is fine.
>hellacia: AEIKNWY K8 ..KY +22 74
#note Surprisngly Robin missed the TOPAZINE extension when she could have played it. L3 KYANI(Z)E is the only other move that scores more than 50 here.
>skaplan31: ACEEILO L8 .OA +25 50
#note Yep
>hellacia: AEEILNW M10 EEW +13 87
>skaplan31: CEEILNO 7B CINEOLE +63 113
#note This time I had all the letters needed for the TOPAZINE extension but purposely passed it up as this is 6 more either way.
>hellacia: AILNNRW E3 WANI.R +18 105
#note Robin had 6F WARN for 33 here.
>skaplan31: AGGRRVV -GGRVV +0 113
#note As disgusted as I admittedly was with this rack, I did miss K7 VALKYR for 16. That would have been a fine enough balance between scoring and rack leave. This is the best out of all exchanges.
>hellacia: ?ELNORY 3B cLO.NERY +86 191
#note This is the highest scoring bingo available and is a very nice find by Robin.
>skaplan31: ACEMMRS 6H SCAMMER +70 183
#note Well that was some draw after getting myself ouf of the messy rack I had last turn. Sometimes a slightly suboptimal play beforehand turns into a bingo the next turn.
>hellacia: AEENRSU O4 ENSURE +35 226
#note And now the TOPAZINE extension is no more. This, O1 AENEUS, and O1 ENURES are all fine to go for the 2nd blank, but L12 EAU or 4D E(A)U are also fine to go for a bingo.
>skaplan31: AEGHISU 5J HUE +29 212
#note This is 2nd, but a distant 2nd from L12 AUGH.
>hellacia: ABGINRT 4K BRIN. +31 257
>skaplan31: AGHIRSS B6 S.RAIGHS +68 280
#note Only bingo. Right back in this one.
>hellacia: ?AFGIIT H1 FI. +18 275
#note Q slightly prefers A8 AFT but this is fine with a blank in hand. I'd make this play. I just have to hope she can't bingo next turn.
>skaplan31: AAIJTUX 3M XU +38 318
>hellacia: ?AGINOT 1H .lOATING +86 361
#note Figured this would happen.
>skaplan31: AADIJOT A13 AJI +32 350
>hellacia: BDEILPT D2 B.P +22 383
#note This is not bad but the best play is 12J BLEWIT for 36.
>skaplan31: ADOOTUV L12 AVO +22 372
#note Robin definitely wasn't keeping the Q after BOP, otherwise she would have dropped the Q already. I do threaten QUOTE 14J with this move and I don't give Robin the OVAL hook with OVA.
>hellacia: DDEGILT N12 LED +14 397
>skaplan31: ADEOTTU A8 ODA +23 395
#note Here's where things are interesting: there's only 2 spots for the Q on this board for Robin to use: at 10I, and A5 QI. In order to win this game, I clearly need to draw the I and that Robin drew the Q after LED. Keeping the U helps me get rid of the Q next turn with things like QUEY, which can even be blocked, hence my point that I needed Robin to have the Q on her rack. About the V unseen to me: Robin is V-stuck if the E is in the bag and she has QI on her rack. 6B STAID was considered too for 2 less to give me 2 spots for the Q should I draw it, but I needed to threaten out plays faster knowing she would have to waste a turn for A5 QI. Not only do faster out plays happen more often with ODA than STAID, but I can stop Robin from doing things like VID 10A.
>hellacia: DGIOQTV A5 QI +13 410
#note And she's gonna be V-stuck because even if Robin does 10E DIVOT for 17, making the score 412-395, she still has GQ on her rack and Q-sticking her will be very easy after that.
>skaplan31: DEETTTU O13 TED +17 412
#note I do this to allow an out play of 13A (AS)TUTE which she would block with HOG. Then, I can just slow play her from there by blocking 6E ID.
>hellacia: DGOTV G2 G.T +7 417
#note And she missed my out play.
>skaplan31: ETTU 13A ..TUTE +12 424
#note Well then. I don't think Robin could have won this one. I got lucky in the end.
>skaplan31: (DOV) +14 438
