>skaplan31: ?ENORWW - +0 0
#note Rd 3 of Philly virtual tourney from 11/29/2020. I am supposed to go 2nd but Woogles had me going first.
>DaBag: AAAEFGI -AAAFGI +0 0
>skaplan31: ?ENORWW 8G WOW +18 18
#note WOW (pun intended) this move is kinda obvious!
>DaBag: DEFGLQY 7E FLEY +22 22
#note This, GLEY in any spot, 7H LEDGY, or -FGQY are all fine. I would have either done LEDGY or -FGLQY depending on the opponent. If I were in this spot against a more defensive player, I would not play through this rack.
>skaplan31: ?AENNOR 9H mONERAN +69 87
#note I did see NORtENA for 1 more in this spot, but I would be hit much harder in response on Row 8 a lot of the time with NORtENA than my play. The only other bingoes that play in this position are 9A bARONNE and I8 (W)ANtONER.
>DaBag: ADDGQVY 8M DAY +26 48
#note L8 G(R)AVY is a better move for him at this score for both the board and for turnover with the Q in hand.
>skaplan31: ?AEEGMO 8A OMEGA +35 122
#note No bingoes play here. This is definitely the move.
>DaBag: DGLOQUV N6 QU..GO +40 88
#note Nice play Mitchell!
>skaplan31: ?EEIRTZ B5 ITE.iZER +90 212
#note Ack! I did have a better bingo here which is C1 EThERIZ(E) for 102. This is 2nd best bingo.
>DaBag: DILRRSV A1 VIRLS +29 117
#note Mitchell did have a 2x2 here, K5 DRIV(E)LS for 44. 4th best play for him.
>skaplan31: AAABEHI O4 AHI +18 230
#note There are no good leaves here. I'm far enough ahead that I should be worrying more about grabbing points than rack leave with plays like 12A ARIA or M11 BAA.
>DaBag: CDIORTU K3 OUTCRI.D +72 189
#note Only bingo for him.
>skaplan31: AAABERT A11 TABER +29 259
#note Maybe RABAT in the same spot is better?
>DaBag: JLMNOPT 4J J.MP +30 219
#note Best play for him!
>skaplan31: AAFHINU C12 FAUN +20 279
#note FAUNA O11
>DaBag: ILNOOTU 1A .OLUTION +86 305
#note It's not like I was gonna stop him from bingoing. It's never over when I play people like Mitchell.
>skaplan31: AHIIPST O11 SPAHI +41 320
#note Not bad, 12K APISH for 45 is a little better. I do wanna score here. 3rd best.
>DaBag: DGILRSX D8 .ILDS +28 333
>skaplan31: EEEISTV M1 VEE. +18 338
#note Best play. EIST is a nice leave on this board with the open R in VIRLS as well as the open N in FAUN.
>DaBag: ADEGNRX N13 DEX +44 377
#note This is a nice play. I would definitely make this play myself.
>skaplan31: CEEIOST 1K CO.ET +33 371
#note Mitchell's last 2 plays suggest he's keeping more consonsants. Admittedly, this was not an easy call between trying to go for a bingo with M1 VOE or trying to outscore him. If I didn't draw a bingo, I was screwed as Mitchell would probably empty the bag to go up by 40+ if he doesn't have a bingo to fish for. With this pool, it's not exactly easy to start bingoes with the R in VIRLS or the N/U in FAUN. It's highly unlikely he would have drawn into URBANITE based on his consonant heavy range. The same can be said about RETAKING or REBATING.
>DaBag: ABGNNRT 7A N.B +17 394
#note Disregard my comment on this position from previous post of this game, I would just score with LEAK C1. Still no wins for him.
>skaplan31: AEEIIKS L9 .EIKI +21 392
#note I did not see a way for him to go out after NEB. This is also a winning play.
>DaBag: AGNRT 2G RANG +13 407
#note He does a great job of blocking my initial out play of SEA 2F, but this still does not win for him here.
>skaplan31: AES 3G SEA +15 407
#note Whew. Props to him on a nice comeback. 1-2 and I have new life.
>skaplan31: (T) +2 409
