>Quackle: AEFRUWY 8G WAFERY +38 38
>Bill: ?EFIILO K3 OILFI.Ed +70 70
#note Only bingo.
>Quackle: ABOOQUU 7G OBO +23 61
#note Quackle elects to take an extra 12 points and keep both U's. By the sim, it actually doesn't think it's a tough choice.
>Bill: AAEHLNP 6E PAH +19 89
#note This is terrible. Completely whiffed on APHEL(I)AN, and there are significantly enough better score/leave balances than this, especially 6D ALPHA, to overrule an argument to open a HOWE/HOWL lane (which is what this was aimed at).
>Quackle: AIOQUUY E3 QUI.U +32 93
#note Quackle confusingly chose this over 5C YOU, which sets up QUAI for 55, even though YOU seems to win in all depths of sims. It is true that QUIPU is 12 more points, and I can say from long experience that a nice-looking leave with a Q is normally fool's gold, but the QUAI setup would've been delicious if it had stayed open.
>Bill: AEELNTT 10D TALENTE. +61 150
#note Not as nice as the last one, but again this is the only bingo.
>Quackle: AAHNOUY 11D AYAH +39 132
#note Quackle interestingly (and disappointingly in the interest of cool words being played) chose this over YAQONA. They're both pretty bad for bingoing, but the other plays are far enough behind in valuation and not that much better for bingoing. YAQONA also allows points with the H1 triple, so that leaves us with AYAH, which blocks what were two of the better bingo lanes (through the T and overlaps in row 11), but opens an S-starting lane and also probably expects some lanes to open up if I take the 12A scoring spot.
>Bill: AGINSSV 12G SAVINGS +80 230
#note This is also the only bingo, giving me four consecutive turns with exactly one bingo available.
>Quackle: AEENOUZ 3I ZO.EA +48 180
>Bill: DDEIJLW N2 JEW +41 271
#note This seemed the best, limiting Quackle's scoring plays by not putting the J in the triple lane and taking away the ZOOEAE lane, and not opening a good bingo lane. I guess the argument for 12A JEDI is to take away TAX plays, but the X plays for 40+ at 4L a lot of the time, and of course possibly for a zillion hooking ZOOEA if I don't take the spot, so I think this is clearly better. WILDED saves a J that would still have some value on the board, but I don't want to open a very hittable lane if I have good plays that avoid it.
>Quackle: BCDEINU 4H CEB.D +47 227
#note Quackle just has to take the score, with no immediately apparent chance of bingoing.
>Bill: DDILNOR O4 ODD +12 283
#note There are now no 7 or 8 letter bingo lanes.
>Quackle: EIINOTU F1 TUI +16 243
>Bill: EGILNRT 1D GI.TERN +30 313
#note Just taking the best score and keeping it apparently completely closed.
>Quackle: ?EINORT D7 gIT..RONE +71 314
#note But not if that happens.
>Bill: ACLLRST 15C C.LLAR +24 337
#note Trying to slug out a defensive ending. I chose this over RECALL. I didn't like RECALL giving up a TLS next to the A, and I thought the bag didn't look promising for a bingo even with CELLAR. Although KA or KAE is really the only way I can get hit hard after RECALL, I do still like CELLAR better because KA or KAE would put me behind, and it really is unlikely that Quackle draws another bingo immediately that fits with CELLAR (but not RECALL).
>Quackle: DEEIKNU N6 EUK +14 328
#note Quackle throws caution to the wind to open up another lane and attempt to balance the rack.
>Bill: EORRSTX O8 OXTER +57 394
#note This is pretty much a no-brainer, but unfortunately I got the bad draw that justified Quackle's gambit. I need to take this lane, and besides this scores enough that I'll be in good shape to win with most draws even if Quackle bingos.
>Quackle: ADEIMNO 14H AMIDONE +76 404
>Bill: GMNPRSV 13B PR.MS +18 412
#note I missed the spot at 5C/D for PRIMS/VIMS, but that's only five better, so even with best play at the end I go from a secure-seeming position to a 20 point loss. :(
