#player1 Bill Bill
#player2 Quackle Quackle
>Bill: AFFPRUY H8 PUFFY +40 40
#note Decided to take the 40 pointer because the vowel placement shouldn't hurt much unless Quackle happens to have the X with an I or O.
>Quackle: ADIKSWX G9 XI +39 39
#note Of course.
>Bill: ?ADIMOR 11H .AIRyDOM +76 116
#note FAIRYDOM through the Y ends just short of a DWS, so both placements give up a lot of points. Didn't see MYRIAPOD for the same score, but it too gives up points. Quackle likes MYRIAPOD best by a smidge but it's no big deal.
>Quackle: ADKNSWZ N10 Z.NDA +70 109
#note My choice backfired again, because Quackle scores 70 with the Z and sets up the S, but it could just play WANKS for a lot and save the Z if either of the other bingos were played, so it would be bad either way.
>Bill: AGHLNUV 12D VUGH. +30 146
>Quackle: BEKOSSW 10J KOB +40 149
>Bill: AACDLNN O8 CLA. +35 181
>Quackle: AESSTTW 15L WAST +49 198
>Bill: ADEEINN I2 ADENINE +65 246
>Quackle: EEEOSTT 12K TEE.E +36 234
>Bill: EILOQSU 5F QUI.OL +30 276
#note The sim likes this over QUOIN, setting up my S for a possible big play from L1.
>Quackle: ACORSTU 2G AC.TOURS +74 308
>Bill: DELMRSY 3C REDLY +35 311
#note Didn't see J5 ODYL, which seems a little better. The best I can do using the L1 spot is YULES for 40, which I didn't think was worth it.
>Quackle: AEGJNST L1 J.TES +56 364
#note Again, my choice backfires. It's not that big of a loss, because if I had played YULES, Quackle would've been able to play E11 JUG and set up the case S.
>Bill: AEHMSTV E11 V.M +16 327
#note Need to create a backup lane here. I didn't even really consider anything else. HEM or HIM at 4H/H4, THEMA at 4A, and MAUVE at E10 are simming about even with this. HEM or HIM - maybe, an extra 9 points is nice, but I don't think the sim is really reflecting the importance of creating another lane. THEMA is just totally the wrong idea, in my opinion, and MAUVE seems pretty weird - sure, it sets up the S in the triple lane, but I will need to bingo at least once, and keeping HST and drawing into a bag with a number of junky vowels makes that unlikely in the next turn or two unless I can pull the blank.
>Quackle: AGIINOR 6E OI +17 381
>Bill: AEHORST 1A EARSHOT +89 416
#note EARSHOT plays at 14B for 95, but my play is more defensive against Quackle bingoing, which seems like a major concern after OI. The sim results are a bit inconclusive, because 14B beats 1A by about a percent with and without inference of a blank for Quackle, but with no inference the opponent bingo% is 34% for 14B and 25% for 1A, and with inference of a blank the gap widens to 68% vs. 53%. It would seem like that's enough to flip 14B below 1A, but maybe the lack of difference in win% reflects that the extra 6 points and possible follow-up play on row 15 helps hold on to a win against a bingo a decent percentage of the time.
>Quackle: AGIINPR 7A PAIRING +77 458
>Bill: EEEILNO 1L .EEL +37 453
#note Tough call between JEEL and JEON, I really had no idea which would give me a better bingo percentage. The sim likes a bunch of 15-20 point fishes, but that seems too easy for Quackle to counter when it has almost-full rack knowledge.
>Quackle: ?INORTW B6 W.ITRONs +70 528
>Bill: ABEGINO 14F BEGONIA +73 526
#note I guess nobody deserved to lose this one.
>Bill: (E) +2 528
