Player 1
#player1 Doug_Lundquist Doug Lundquist
#player2 Johnny_Utah Johnny Utah
>Doug_Lundquist: BFGJMSS -BFGJM +0 0
#note Casual game. Doug has returned for a Saturday and I got a game in against him. He also gave me his actual racks so much thanks to him. Exchanging 5 keeping SS seems best.
>Johnny_Utah: ?MNORSZ - +0 0
#note Trade 1, exchange the Z. There are no bingos here but ZONER burning the blank may have been worth considering. I'd gifure I'd be able to bingo consistently the next turn keeping MONRS?. Tough call. This may have been a slight mistake.
>Doug_Lundquist: ACFISSV 8G VACS +18 18
#note Best play, especially in the light of my one tile exchange.
>Johnny_Utah: ?MNORST H4 MORd.NTS +62 62
#note Ok, this was a sizable mistake. ANGSTROM and MONSTERA both play for 80. I at least should see MONSTERA.
>Doug_Lundquist: ACFINRS 10B INFRAC.S +67 85
#note INFARCTS also in the same spot for the same score. Both are 67 and best.
>Johnny_Utah: AADDIKM E8 DA.K +18 80
#note MIKADO is the best play, and even DAK I3 is a little better than my play. Not a huge mistake but could have done a little better.
>Doug_Lundquist: DGIORUW I3 WUD +18 103
#note Quackle likes both C7 WOUND or D4 GUIRO a little better although WUD isn't far behind and is perfectly reasonable. I originally recorded Doug's rack as a B instead of a G.
>Johnny_Utah: ADEIMQT J6 QI. +32 112
#note Best play.
>Doug_Lundquist: AEGIORR C7 ORA.GIER +72 175
#note Best play. This play was a game changer because it blocked my bingo of AMOUNTED.
>Johnny_Utah: ADEMOTU 8A MU.E. +27 139
#note My play sims best according to the Championship Player. 8A DURED, J6 QUOTE, and D4 DOUMA are other good options as well.
>Doug_Lundquist: BEEIOUW B13 WEB +25 200
#note Quackle likes the aggressive 14A OUREBI the best, but I think this is fine with the lead. OUREBI sometimes leads to disaster scenarios despite cleaning up the rack.
>Johnny_Utah: ADOOOTT 11H .OOT +10 149
#note My play is near the top. J2 OOT and J1 SOOT also open the board but seem too easy to block.
>Doug_Lundquist: EEHIOOU L10 OHO +20 220
#note Quackle likes exchanging keeping HO best but Doug's play isn't too far behind.
>Johnny_Utah: AADEIOT 6J .AID +14 163
#note This was probably a mistake. The Championship Player likes G1 IODATE which seems aggressive but probably warranted with me down by 71 points. QAID restricts the M bingo line which I might need to use. Highly questionable.
>Doug_Lundquist: EEIIOUU -EIIOUU +0 220
#note Exchange 6 keeping E. This was Doug;s actual rack which i got. Seems best.
>Johnny_Utah: AEHIOTV 5K HAO +27 190
>Doug_Lundquist: EEELNNX M11 EX +27 247
#note The Championship Player like D12 NENE best. There's only one O and two Y's unseen, but if I have any of those three letters, this play gets punished hard.
>Johnny_Utah: AEEELNR N11 DOVE +37 227
#note I debated between DOIT and DOVE in this spot which flip back and forth between being the best play. There are both within a percentage point of each other. Maybe there are too many unseen N's too justify this play, but I am also behind so I need to make something happen. Close call between the two.
>Doug_Lundquist: AEEELNR 15K ARENE +27 274
#note Best play for Doug. I originally included an incorrect leave. Even with the incorrect Z leave, ARENE seems best.
>Johnny_Utah: IIITTUU -IITUU +0 227
#note Disaster draw. Trade 7, my play, and trade 6 keeping either an I or a T sim very close.
>Doug_Lundquist: AEILLNZ 14J ZA +33 307
#note The Championship Player likes J2 ZEN again but I like Doug's play after a trade 5 better because it shuts down the easiest line and you probably have to assume there's a good chance I have the second blank.
>Johnny_Utah: ?EIISTT 4M TI +6 233
#note I hate doing these kind of plays but I need to create a second area of lanes so Doug doesn't block at B7 and close the last two lanes at once. The Championship Player and a simulation disagree massively so I am not sure what's best here. Doug has the hooks for this too often, but at least I can hit bingos though the M or E and hope for something great to happen.
>Doug_Lundquist: EIILLNT O3 ILLITE +25 332
#note Doug's play seem quite fine. O3 LENTIL is another good option.
>Johnny_Utah: ?EIPSTU D1 dEPUTIS. +70 303
#note I think this is the best play. The Championship Player also suggests forgoing a bingo with M2 PIT but that just seems like it loses spread a lot of the time.
>Doug_Lundquist: EEFJLNU 1A JEE. +30 362
#note Best play for Doug. Kills the remaining two bingo lines, scores, and gets rid of the J. 99.24% to win.
>Johnny_Utah: GILNNRY 2C R.LY +17 320
#note Best play. Complete hail mary but my play offers 3.03% winning chances whereas almost all of the other possible plays offer 0% winning chances. Hoping for a seven letter bingo starting with B.
>Doug_Lundquist: AFGLNTU A14 FA +33 395
#note Another rack I originally didn't get but added now. FA is 100% to win. Quackle likes playing 2J FLAUNT now but if I don't block ENGLUT/TILLITE, Doug's play is best.
>Johnny_Utah: BGINNPY 1F BING +28 348
#note I didn't block ENGLUT because I was over on time by 43 seconds. 3I WYNN is best to block ENGLUT saving F1 BIG for the next turn.
>Doug_Lundquist: EGLNTU 2J ENGLUT +25 420
#note Best play.
>Doug_Lundquist: (NPY) +16 436
#note Score recorded as 434-339 Doug because I went over by 43 seconds and we had some minor scoring errors. Playing the inferior bingo of MORDANTS was notable and QAID was a positional mistake at the game score at the time. This was going to be a hard game to win though given everything that transpired.
