#player2 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
>Orry_Swift: II -II +0 0
>Joshua_Sokol: ENPRRTU H7 PUR +10 10
#note hard to judge whether or not I should have played this or exchanged PUR instead. Or URP. I think I needed to exchange.
>Orry_Swift: ACDEINT 9B DICENT.A +64 64
#note really not happy to see when you give your opponent a spot to bingo that you didn't need to give them.
>Joshua_Sokol: ENRSTUW I9 .W +5 15
#note literally all 3 letters I played gave his no-go a home
>Orry_Swift: AFFLO 11E OFFAL +28 92
>Joshua_Sokol: ENNRSTU 12I STUNNER +73 88
>Orry_Swift: AGOT O8 GATO. +18 110
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHILS B2 SALIHeA. +88 176
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHILS -- -88 88
#note This was the most incredible moment in the tournament, where I inverted tiles on an already phony word. I don't remember ever inverting tiles in my tournament history.
>Orry_Swift: AADEGMR N5 REDAMAG. +80 190
#note and Orry almost accepted SALIHeA(D), since it gave him DAMAGER for 104 points with 6 overlaps. He held, and then said "hm. Interesting!". Then he put down DAMAGER and counted it, and I was just praying he would play it, because my courtesy draw was MORESQU and I had a spot at E2! But he took it off and challenged the phony. I was totally beside myself that I would do something so stupid in a key game.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHILS B2 SAILHeA. +88 176
#note now I play the correct spelling, except SAILHEAD* is still not a word. It's HEADSAIL, and I had spent 3 minutes convincing myself it was SAILHEAD*, because WINDSAIL was new and there was another SAIL word that was added and began with SAIL. It's SAILPAST, but it still doesn't explain why I remember having so much trouble with the two new SAIL words. I think I just struggled with WINDSAIL, and finally figured out a memory aid. I guess it didn't help me here. Orry held again, and accepted because it gave him a big play.
>Orry_Swift: BEHT A1 BETH +52 242
>Joshua_Sokol: CIJQRYZ K11 Q.IZ +44 220
#note my courtesy draw was not a bingo this time.
>Orry_Swift: RX 8A R.X +39 281
>Joshua_Sokol: CEIIJRY L10 JI. +21 241
#note absolutely stumped in this position. This is my best bet it would seem, but things are bleak with less than a 1/10 chance at a bingo.
>Orry_Swift: ?AINSTU 5B .UTANISt +64 345
#note maybe 6B (H)UmANIST
>Joshua_Sokol: CEIKORY H1 YOCK. +57 298
#note still have a chance, LUTANISt sort of complicated things for Orry.
>Orry_Swift: NOO 14K .OON +26 371
>Joshua_Sokol: BDEEEIR 12A BEEDI +24 322
#note This was probably necessary. Now I'll have options once someone plays from the B. I know Orry is probably close to something big on row 15 that he's just set up, but I have to leave that be for now.
>Orry_Swift: RUVW 2F VR.UW +27 398
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEEEMR A12 .EAM +24 346
#note if I don't play this, Orry is going to kill the board. MEED can't be right, despite scoring 41. Orry will know he can't outrun a bingo and will block columns M and K without fail.
>Orry_Swift: EILOOST K2 STOOLIE +76 474
>Joshua_Sokol: DEELOPR M1 DEPLORE +80 426
>Orry_Swift: EEGIINY O1 EYING +34 508
#note when I saw the V I was very sad, but I had spots very luckily.
>Joshua_Sokol: V 3A ..V +12 438
#note my best endgame!
>Joshua_Sokol: (EI) +4 442
