>Karl_Highboy: ?ACDEMO I4 CArOMED +82 82
#note CAMMODE* was almost played. :(
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFLMNR 5G FL.ME +20 44
#note this was a good play, one of the reason for which was unknown to me at the time. Quackle likes making a few 3-tile plays here, but they don't work nearly as well since they further constrict the board.
>Karl_Highboy: AEEGINR 4A REGINAE +73 155
#note though I guess a 3-tile play might not have given Karl a spot!

He was unsure of FLAMEN
>Joshua_Sokol: AELNORV L1 VERONAL +89 133
#note I am pretty sunk after REGINAE/FLAMEN
>Karl_Highboy: DEKOO A4 .OOKED +33 188
#note I held ROOKED for a while. A(FLAME) was what I missed when I played FL(A)ME, probably making it the best play in the position.
>Joshua_Sokol: EGPRVWY B2 WE.PY +59 192
#note At this point I am sure VERONAL is an adjective
>Karl_Highboy: EIOSTU 1I OUT.IES +30 218
>Joshua_Sokol: ABGNRUV 3K B.UNG +16 208
#note Quackle really likes (E)RUV, citing a nice increase in bingo and scoring chances next turn. I think the board is open enough that I don't need to worry about closing the N and O files with (E)RUV. #findingmedium
>Karl_Highboy: IQ 3D QI +24 242
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAADRV 2E AVA +17 225
#note ok, there is hope now
>Karl_Highboy: EHSW 8L SHEW +45 287
#note now I give it some second thought, and still misremember the definition in Zyzzyva being an adjectival one. #knowledgelarge
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AADRSU - +0 225
>Karl_Highboy: NRTZ N7 N.RTZ +16 303
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AADRSU B8 RADUlAS +77 302
#note I had bA(H)ADURS at M6 before this, so I thank Karl for blocking it so that I didn't have to suffer another word knowledge mistake this turn.
>Karl_Highboy: HOT C11 HOT +22 325
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEILLS J9 LEI +15 317
#note I could definitely try to outrun with A13 CEL here, tying the score up with a way better than average leave, but this case S setup seemed abnormally strong, given the prevalence of remaining I's in the pool (coupled with Karl's lack of use of an I last turn), as well as the difficulty in blocking the setup, which increases my chances of fishing at a recurrence next turn. The problem is, I hadn't quite realized HOT had done a good job at blocking the setup I was about to make. Oops. Mental mistake, but still possibly the best play.
>Karl_Highboy: EGI A13 GIE +18 343
>Joshua_Sokol: CEILNNS K11 NIL +10 327
#note now I'm kind of stuck though, making another s setup that's easier to get rid of. I can still hopefully outrun if he makes a blocky play..
>Karl_Highboy: DFIU 13J F.UID +18 361
>Joshua_Sokol: CENPRSX 12B ..X +18 345
#note this spot seemed abundantly clear, fishing for PRANCES or PRINCES, but also threatening to outrun if he attempts to block those.

O13 SEX was the other option, trying to force my way through. SEX seemed like a good idea at first, but down the line I realized that it was much worse in reality than in theory. He has a huge tempo advantage in the endgame, and even with TTT on his rack, there are many paths to victory available with certain draws.

Endgames after SEX are complicated, but it's also tough for Karl to decide what to do after my play. I might even get another chance to fish. I actually have one winning endgame if he plays TIARA and I draw the I. Same with RIATA. What do you think? The O also affords me many winning chances in an endgame where Karl tries to block.
>Karl_Highboy: ARY C7 RAY +25 386
>Joshua_Sokol: ACENPRS 14E PRANCES +76 421
#note still stole this game though.
>Joshua_Sokol: (IIOTTT) +12 433
