#note I like this play; there are many draws that bail out my consonant heavy rack nicely. I am not keen on the sim's suggestion of SLINK D11, which creates openings needlessly and spends the S.
>Mark: EHU 12C HUE +23 139
>Arie: AEKLMRS 13B LAMS +38 206
#note This looks like the sort of play that could be improved on, but it's probably actually best. It has the advantage of taking out row 13 overlaps, and scores enough to put it ahead of KAMI/MEEK type plays equity-wise.
>Mark: ANW 14A NAW +25 164
>Arie: EEFKNRT L8 F.NKER +34 240
#note The sim likes FET and FEN at 10J better, and those plays undeniably control the board better. Also, the K is very valuable with the HAWK hook available (I didn't consider that.) After FET I have a great chance of drawing something like ARK, and a K play there would help control the board long-term. I could aslo play there right away with KEF, but that sacrifices quite a few immediate points.
>Mark: DEEINST F2 DESINE.T +69 233
>Arie: ADEERTT 4D RE.TATED +70 310
#note Missed RATTENED 10G.
>Mark: FI 10J FI. +31 264
>Arie: AAJLLRV H1 JAV. +42 352
>Mark: GOY 7H GOY +13 277
>Arie: AEELLOR 15A ER +15 367
#note This is weak. I was afraid of HAWS plays and thought that blocking them might be key to securing the win. However, this just sacrifices too much equity. I have rEALER M9 for 29, which also blocks FUNKERS. That and some other plays are far better.
>Mark: IO 6J OI +11 288
>Arie: AAEILLO 11K A.ELA +28 395
#note This looks good.
>Mark: CDEILRY N9 .L. +5 293
>Arie: ?EILOOW 14F WOOLIEs +82 477
#note This looks good.
>Mark: CDEIRVY - +0 293
#note Challenged FUNKERS.
>Arie: DIPRVXY 15H XI +56 533
#note I can't lose, but I would probably do better on spread if I went for something like YID 15H that doesn't leave DPRVY.
>Mark: BORT O11 .BORT +30 323
>Arie: CDDPRVY E3 Y.P +29 562
#note CP likes DRY 13K by 6 points - if Mark tries to slow play, I need to have scoring tiles on hand to keep the points coming.
>Mark: AAENQS 1H .ANES +13 336
