#player1 Lauren Lauren
#player2 Arie Arie
>Lauren: IIIIIII -IIIIII +0 0
>Arie: AAEIRSS -A +0 0
#note I think this is clearly best - bingos 70ish percent of the time.
>Lauren: DILNOSU H8 UNSOLID +68 68
>Arie: ADEIRSS 8G S.DARIES +60 60
>Arie: ?ACLTTU (challenge) +5 65
#note I missed AIRSIDES, which is clearly better. I think I've compartmentalized that in my mind as a Collins word, when in fact it is now in NWL. I did recognize that this is better than ARIDNESS and SARDINES for two more points.
>Lauren: AEOTV 7C OVATE +13 81
>Arie: ?ACLTTU 14H .UCT +13 78
#note There's a plethora of bingos available and I manage to miss them all after five minutes of agonized searching. CULTRATE K4 for 86 or CATAPULT E4 for the same score look like the best of the bunch. Also CUTTABLE, ANTICULT, TACTFUL, TACTUAL. I think it's harder to find bingos in situations like this where the number of potential lines is so mind-bogglingly large - it can be comparable to having a second blank. Also, DUCT isn't the best non-bingo.
>Lauren: AWX G11 WAX +45 126
>Arie: ?AHILLT K4 InTH.ALL +90 168
>Arie: GIJNOPS (challenge) +5 173
#note This is best.
>Lauren: DGOPR M4 GROP.D +15 141
>Arie: GIJNOPS J2 JOG +30 203
#note Here I miss JINGO L1.
>Lauren: EFOV E3 FOVE. +22 163
>Arie: BEINPRS 12D PIB.. +18 221
#note I was kind of hoping to get a +5 on this play, as it's fairly uncommon. This isn't really great. The sim winner is NIB D2 - it looks risky, but there aren't any Ss out and only one blank. Some dinky looking fishes also sim better, as does PIS N6, which seems too dangerous to me. I liked keeping the N for NOVATE. If I get a challenge this is second best.
>Lauren: ABDIIQT 13C QI +26 189
>Arie: ENNORSY 15K ONERY +29 250
#note This narrowly wins a sim over NOSEY N6 - I wouldn't play NOSEY, as it creates two lines that are hard to control.
>Lauren: EHTY 3C HE.TY +36 225
>Arie: DFNRRSU 4H UR..N. +18 268
#note There's a great play available - FUR 2B. It looks too risky to play with a lead, but I have the only hook tile for UH (the D.) If I retain my own D I am very likely to get to use the spot. SURF 12K also sims better than this, getting 7 extra points for the last S.
>Lauren: GIZ 14B ZIG +43 268
>Arie: BDEFIRS N10 BIRDE. +30 298
#note FEEB D1 does way better in the sim. To be honest, I don't really care for it - it gives away points to Lauren through the F, and the F could be a valuable scoring tile on a tight board (it plays at N6, for instance.) Really, the only place to bingo now is with NOVATE, so bingo prone leaves (such as DIRS) are devalued. I think BIRDER is a better play.
>Lauren: AEM M11 MAE +22 290
>Arie: EFKNSTU 8A KEF +35 333
#note JUNKET 2J is another possibility. It scores the same as my play, offers counterplays through the T (but likely not anything too high scoring) and nullifies the O column, allowing me to play FES for 31 next turn and keep the scoring pressure going. I liked this because it made NOVATE more difficult to use, although the K may offset that. I really prefer my play but Quackle prefers JUNKET (I considered JUNKET).
>Lauren: RT D2 R.T +10 300
>Arie: EINSTUW 1D TWINE +32 365
#note This looks pretty obvious. However, I have UNSEW N2 for 56, which I did not see. It's clearly better.
>Lauren: AA 15A AA +17 317
>Arie: ?AEENSU A8 .UNE +8 373
#note UNSEE N2 is the play. It scores enough to outrun MOONLIKE if Lauren has it. I looked at plays like WAXEN and saw that they wouldn't outrun MOONLIKE, and figured I needed to block the K. I can also win 100% of the time by playing something like FOVEAE to not empty the bag. This always wins but obviously sacrifices spread.
>Lauren: ACEILNO 6I AC. +11 328
>Arie: ?AEOOS 2J .OOkS +22 395
#note This at least threatens to go out in two. Better is OSE 010 to block ELM O10 and leave COALA J6.
>Lauren: EILMN N5 EM +22 350
>Arie: AE 2B EA. +11 406
>Arie: (ILN) +6 412
