>Joey: DHLMOSV 8G HOLM +18 18
#note Probably should either play HOLMS or move this to the left. I forgot all about the E hook.
>Jackson: EGHLOOR H5 HOR.LOGE +63 63
>Joey: CDKRSSV 10G D.CK +21 39
>Jackson: DEGLSUU K5 GLUED +24 87
#note could do GUDE, the L is quite helpful for the leave, but with my lead I liked the bit of extra defense, and not giving up the X and stuff
>Joey: NPRSSVW 6F VR.W +18 57
#note Told you that these vowel-less racks were a theme.
>Jackson: CNORSTU 12A CONSTRU. +76 163
#note maybe I should do COUNTERS here, I think that is fine. I don't want the top left to get opened, and right now it's gonna be pretty hard to open it. I didn't 'know HOROLOGER, and I think with my huge lead I'm taking I should take COUNTERS and be more defensive. #tacticssmall
>Joey: INOPSSV B10 PO.NS +26 83
>Jackson: AAEIRUY 10B .AUA +6 169
#note really weird play, and I found it kinda funny that I made a string of really nonstandard plays in a row after taking the more standard CONSTRUE. Maybe I was trying to make up for what I felt was a mistake with construe, cause these defensive plays run contrary to that. this blocks the S and the T, but perhaps more importantly blocks 10B setups. He v likely has another S with POONS, especially at the speed he played it. THe C in construe makes 10B setups devastating - I will literally have no block. there are only a small number of players I would play this against, and maybe I shouldn't expect him to make those setups too often, but with the added bonus of blocking the S and T (and also thus restricting the top left), I felt this was justified. thoughts?
>Joey: IMNPSVZ D12 .PIV +13 96
>Jackson: BBEIIRY F11 B.IBE +15 184
#note yeah finally HOROLOGER comes back to bite me. RIBBIE is 35, and RIBBY is 26. I would have played RIBBY here, blocks HOLMES, and RIBBIE takes RS, and he still has an S. baddd knowledgeeee
>Joey: EMNNOSZ C7 ZON. +24 120
>Jackson: GIORRTY 14F .IGOTRY +15 199
#note he is coming back slowly, and a definite worry with this play is he gets a big 8a play and is suddenly in 1 bingo range, and he'll try to put a tile at 8a that makes a good lane for him, which I won't be able to block without letting him capitalize on the BIGOTRY scoring spots I'm opening. that being said, I started out with a really big lead and the board is getting wrecked, so I don't hate that I'm letting him back into one bingo range. I could play TROY or ROOTY, but I felt that gave up too many bingoes. not sure. this blocked AMNESTY IRL
>Joey: AEMNSTY 8A AT.MY +39 159
#note I knew he was going to be blocky, but blocking AMNESTY took some effort. At least he didn't score much doing it, and I'm chipping away a little.
>Jackson: AAELRTW 7A LA.E +21 220
#note now at least I get to set up another scoring play (AW) to offset whatever he gets downstairs. the A lane he created isn't very dangerous though. just not anything worth playing down there with this rack.
>Joey: AAEFNOS 15H OF +29 188
>Jackson: AFNRSTW L11 TRA.F +30 250
#note I think this was the rack. TRA is more defensive than FAW for FAWNY, but this does let the bingoes score a bit more. I also considered TRAY, I almost never run into consonant trouble with the pool, but if I do draw JQX type tiles it could be rough.
>Joey: AAEINRS I4 NA. +11 199
>Jackson: IINSTWX 15L .IXT +42 292
>Joey: ?AEEIRS M7 ApERIES +74 273
#note I would have rather drawn the blank later, but beggars can't be choosy.
>Jackson: EEINSUW 3I SWINE +26 318
>Joey: ?AEEEII 14N AE +24 297
#note AI is a marginal improvement, but odds of winning were still pretty low.
>Jackson: ADDEIQU N9 DE +12 330
#note it seems this wins always. I have to be worried about EmETINE and sIENITE here, especially cause he basically never keeps the J with AE. this blocks them both, and saves 2 row QUAD plays. he can't block those while scoring enough to outrun Q(AT) or QI/AI.
>Joey: ?EEEIIJ L1 JI.nI +41 338
#note I'm supposed to play EWE first, but it still falls short.
>Jackson: ADINQTU N6 QI +33 363
