>Ken: DELOV 8D VOLED +26 26
>Mack: BDEIKOW 9G WOK +31 31
#note Played this WOK thinking I keep the E for EWE but there are more front hooks to WE if I play the other WOK, but I realized after I hit my clock I should've probably played the other one because of JEW and other hard-hitting overlaps there. #strategysmall
>Ken: HILL 10H HILL +22 48
>Mack: ABDEEIN K4 DENIAB.E +94 125
#note It is, however, not deniable that my placement of WOK worked out better.

#note Mainly considered BOTS, 6I IONS, and D8 VIATOR. I discarded IONS pretty quickly as I felt it needlessly gives Ken an easy like for 7s. The main downside of BOTS was that I can draw 3 Is, but I felt with VIATOR the upside of ISS wasn't that great - in all likelihood I'll be making a play like BOTS anyway next turn, and perhaps not even that if I don't draw an E or O. The one benefit that makes VIATOR worth considering is that it blocks plays like 12A ZETA, but I decided those were unlikely enough and would probably give me a big play back enough that BOTS was worth it. But the best play, which I didn't consider, looks to be 6G SARINS - the second S isn't that valuable after BOTS anyway, and SARINS gives me more chances at the scoring tiles in the pool while minimizing the chances of I trouble. #visionmedium
>Ken: LUX 10C LUX +23 376
>Mack: AIIINRS J1 INIA +10 404
#note This is why SARINS was better than BOTS - yes I have the S, but it's not really doing me any good since I have 3 Is. This was a tough call between J1 INIA and 13B INIA, both of which score the same. The main benefit of 13B is blocking big plays like 12A ZEPS, and the main benefit of J1 is blocking bingos through the E and parallels with ZEN. I didn't really feel Ken was materially more or less likely to have the Z after LUX, so that didn't affect my decision too much. I also figured that plays like ZEPS will often give me a play at A12 that will be enough to win in the endgame. If ZEN wasn't good then I'd probably lean towards 13B, but I think with ZEN being good I have a big risk of being outrun with plays like ZIP or even CRAZE that give absolutely nothing back. Close call, but I'm cool with my choice, and Quackle agrees.
>Ken: EGZ C9 G..ZE +34 410
>Mack: IIORRST 6I RI.S +19 423
#note Correct, saving TORII and 5F TRIO while blocking 6G PECANS. 1F TORII allowing PECANS does still win by 2 after SIR/GLAZER, however.
>Ken: ABCEPST I1 BAP +23 433
>Mack: IORT 5F TRIO +6 429
#note Very interesting game towards the end, especially the BOTS and INIA turns. Ken did a great job staying in it after being down over 100 early on.
>Mack: (CEST) +12 441
