>Winter: FI 6M IF +28 46
>David_Koenig: ?DHNNVZ 8L HaND +50 139
#note Quackle agrees. DZHO/LINEATED is the highest scoring play, but the Z is so useful as a leave tile that this is significantly stronger.

>Winter: AD 7C DA. +16 95

>Winter: IQ 6B QI +34 129
>David_Koenig: BDNOTTY 5C BOTTY +26 221
>David_Koenig: DEGINOP (challenge) +5 226
#note Accurate play has helped me clear out the consonant-heavy racks in good shape. One of the advantages of the blank is not only that it can help you bingo, but also that it can help you get out of bad rack situations.
>Winter: AEGP 4A PEAG +33 162
>David_Koenig: DEGINOP A1 GIP.O +30 256
>David_Koenig: ADEFMNT (challenge) +5 261
>Winter: AJ N2 JA +38 200
>David_Koenig: ADEFMNT 3C TAMED +40 301
#note TANDEM for the same score is probably better for the primary reason that it makes the bingo lane on row 2 harder to use.
>Winter: HM 2E HM +30 230
>David_Koenig: FIILNNV B1 IF +23 324
#note Missing L1 FINI, which is clearly better, as it scores more, clears out more of the junk, and blocks the row 1 bingo lane.
>Winter: ETW 1F EWT +23 253
#note Given the score, I strongly prefer playing ZE/EWT.
>David_Koenig: EILNNRV L1 NEVI +22 346
>Winter: EL F11 EL +13 266
>David_Koenig: BILNORR 13B BROIL +17 363
#note It is favorable to take the hook in this way to avoid giving him hooks for sevens, except those starting with S. He is likely to get a bingo down still in this game, but I want to make sure it doesn't score too much and that I have good comebacks.
>Winter: DU B13 .UD +12 278
>David_Koenig: AENRRSU 15B .URN +6 369
#note In retrospect, this is a serious error. I'm still a heavy favorite to win, but it scores low enough that with some worst case scenarios of a big X play and a bingo, he can come back and win. One example of a bad situation for me is drawing OUU to my AERS and him holding ?EEISSX with CNOOR in the bag. Then DEiXISES for 98 for him leads to a tie with best play, but he can do even better with EXIST/AKAS, winning most of the time including against that particular rack. I should have played DAUNERS, which pads the lead enough that a comeback is virtually impossible against best play. (Quackle's winning percentages aren't always to be believed in these pre-endgames, as it doesn't always play the best defense.)
>Winter: NU O8 .UN +4 282
>David_Koenig: AEOORSX 4G OX +24 393
#note I absolutely cannot play to try to stop him from bingoing here. The chance of him hitting something on row 11 or row 14 is too great. But I just need to make sure that I score enough and time things well so I don't get caught with a lot of tiles.
>Winter: S 8K S.... +20 302
#note This looks like a good call by Winter. He recognizes that he is likely to bingo out, and he can milk more points now by taking this play instead of bingoing immediately.
>David_Koenig: AEEOORS G11 EAS +27 420
#note Best. Takes the points I can and doesn't give anything back on row 15, as EASE or EASER would.
>Winter: ?CEIRSU 11I CURrIES +71 373
>Winter: (EOOR) +8 381
