>Maddy_Kamen: AAEGNOZ 8G ZOA +24 24
#note Game that I played in FL at Maddy's house. ZONAE is her best play by far. This is 3rd.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AIJLTWY 9F JAW +31 31
#note No good leaves here. This is best.
>Maddy_Kamen: ACEEGGN 10G GEAN +26 50
#note Interesting that GEE 10G is Q's best play in this position. I think this play is fine, there are many options that sim close such as GENE in the same spot.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EEILOTY 7H LYE +26 57
#note Maddy and I have not had very good racks so far. This play is best, leaves of ELO (because of 11I YETI) or EILOT (because of 7I YE) don't do very much on this board so I took the points.
>Maddy_Kamen: ACEGMNX 11I MAX +30 80
#note Best play for Maddy!
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEEIOST L10 DIE +21 78
#note Many options that I considered with this dead rack. This board that was tight earlier is suddenly becoming very hookable. So I decided to not blow up the rack too much. This play is best again.
>Maddy_Kamen: ?CEGNPV 6J PEC +23 103
#note Nice board forking play by Maddy with her blank in hand. Now this board is becoming really interesting to play on. This is best according to Q.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EELOSTY 5J OY +25 103
#note Yes I might have "fished" a lot so far but sometimes those are the best plays. My play is best again in this case.
>Maddy_Kamen: ?AGNOQV -GOQV +0 103
#note Q wants Maddy to play thru this rack with I3 VOG? I don't agree with that demented theory. I easily would have exchanged here like she did. If I had this rack, I would have considered keeping AGNO? or AGN?, those are close. I guess Q thinks Maddy is more likely to bingo after keeping AGN? which is the best exchange. Q puts this play 6th. All of the aforementioned exchanges are fine, the O isn't super useful to hook with on this board and neither is the G.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EELOSTV 4J LEV +24 127
#note This was a bad miss. VOLTE 4H is a hell of a lot better than my play. LEVO in the same spot is better as well, the O isn't great on this board.
>Maddy_Kamen: ?AAINTW 13F ANTIWAr +65 168
#note Silly. I mixed it up with DIRE. DIER* is not good.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ENOQSTU 11B QUOTES +44 171
#note I considered 14B TOQUE or QUOTE as well as my play. They sim close, but Q doesn't recommend burning the S for 8 more here, presumably because of the SLOPE hook at 3J. I find that interesting, even though there are 3 more Ss and a blank remaining.
>Maddy_Kamen: DEEIKOR 12D KOR +31 199
#note M4 OIK for 5 less gives Maddy a much better leave of DEER. This is 10th.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AENORTU B9 RO.UET +34 205
#note I condsidered fishing here but it just wasn't worth it. This forks the board very nicely which I can do when I inferred Maddy wasn't keeping an S after KOR. This is best.
>Maddy_Kamen: DEEEHIU A7 HUED +29 228
#note A13 HUE is best as it takes out the S hook on ROQUET and keeps a consonant. I can understand this play as well, turnover is good in a close game when racks aren't good. And it's 4 more points.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACNNRSS 15B SCAN +23 228
#note M3 CANS is sick and clearly best. I wish I spotted that, that would have really induced more volatility that's perfect for my other S. This is 4th. This does set up a SCANNER extension with an E draw.
>Maddy_Kamen: BEEHIIR C13 HI. +28 256
#note Best play!
>Samuel_Kaplan: AINRRST 9A ..R +4 232
#note I did not spot 8G (ZOA)RIA but I like my play better as I can bingo next turn very easily. Q puts this 2nd.
>Maddy_Kamen: BEEIILR C6 BIE. +7 263
#note Understandably she decided to block knowing I had something very nice.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEINRST D2 RETAINS +75 307
#note Yep. Best play!
>Maddy_Kamen: BEILRRT 4A BRI.TLER +64 327
#note 3C T(E)RRIBLE is Maddy's best play. It scores 17 more. If she does that, I don't get to bingo next turn with my dead rack.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEINOT 2B DE.ATION +72 379
#note I considered making the more defensive play of RATIONED at 2D. Maddy just drew 7 random tiles and the pool is not very bingo friendly. With a better pool and/or a less random draw I would have played RATIONED for 9 less instead of my play. This would turn out to bite me in the rear end.
>Maddy_Kamen: ?DGIOSU 1H DOUSInG +88 415
#note Ouch.
>Samuel_Kaplan: GILMNOV N1 .LOVING +28 407
#note This guarantees me out plays everywhere.
>Maddy_Kamen: FFP 6C ..FF +20 435
>Samuel_Kaplan: M 13F .......M +24 431
>Samuel_Kaplan: M -- -24 407
#note I saw MAXIM obviously but this was my only shot at a tie. Other than this, I saw no wins/ties after DOUSING went down. It was either try this or accept the loss. ANTIWARM* might have stayed against some players in the middle of the game because ANTICOLD is good, but Maddy does know her ANTI- words very well. ANTIHOT* is phony as well.
>Maddy_Kamen: P 3M P. +8 443
#note 14B TIP is 1 more. I would say we both made great plays and some mistakes. For me personally, not calling off ANTIWAR was bad because I spaced out and, as it turns out, RATIONED would have prevented DOUSING from going down. I did get lucky to get any bingo down with my ADEINOT rack. Nice game Maddy!
