>Mark: UUUU -UUUU +0 0
>Carl: HIJNNNT 8H NINTH +24 24
#note What an interesting opening rack this was! JINN, NINTH, NTH? What do you do?
>Mark: AEINRTT 9D NITRATE +66 66
#note Quackle narrowly chooses JINN 8G (-2). #strategysmall
>Carl: FIJLNOU 8A FUJI +48 72
>Mark: ADEF 7F DEAF +26 92
>Carl: EGILNOU L7 G.OULIE +22 94
#note When I got to this rack in the post mortem, I was convinced that I'd made a terrible mistake. Surely there was a better play. In fact, GHOULIE sims essentially best. The only other option is OUD F5, which sims even with GHOULIE.
>Mark: ?ABDMSS 14F DuMBASS +79 171
>Mark: ?ABDMSS -- -79 92
#note I felt sorry for Mark this game. It's dumb that this isn't a word. Worse, he would continue to get clunky consonant-heavy racks throughout the game. Worse yet, after the game, someone who had been rack-stalking him... dropped by, saw that DUMBASS wasn't on the board and asked Mark why he didn't play DUMBASS earlier.
>Carl: DINORTY M10 TONDI +24 118
#note I'm surprised that this doesn't sim best, even when you know his rack. Quackle plays TOY 6E, which seems way worse for board control. (-3?)
>Mark: ?ABDMSS B7 D.MB +15 107
>Carl: EEORRXY 11B ORYX +38 156
#note All told, I'd rather have this board than the one after TOY.
>Mark: AQ K6 QA. +15 122
>Carl: AEEIRUW 12D AUREI +31 187
#note Despite the ungainly racks, I've been a lot luckier than Mark this game. Easy points, easy decisions. That's going to be a a running theme.
>Mark: DGLS H11 G.LDS +21 143
>Carl: AEEEERW 13A EEEW +23 210
#note I wasn't too worried about the 12A hotspot, figuring that Mark is on S? and will probably bingo. Quackle has none of that, playing EEEW at 6D. In retrospect, I concur. (-5) #strategymedium
>Mark: BRV A12 V.RB +39 182
>Carl: ?AEEGPR M1 PREGAmE +75 285
#note A difficult decision. That bingo is coming, sooner rather than later. I've been very fortunate that he hasn't gotten it down yet. I saw options at N4, but they didn't seem worth it at the time. In fact, all of them are, even though Mark might parallel them. PuGAREE N4, tripling the G, is clearly best among those. (-2% win chances) #strategymedium
>Mark: AKW 2K WA.K +22 204
>Carl: ACERTUY 4K CA.EY +30 315
#note I did see AY/AYE/TYE at N5, but CAGEY seemed better. Quackle says this is a serious mistake, because I'm destroying my rack for a block that isn't effective; he still has Row 1. (-19 valuation, -5% win%) #strategylarge
>Mark: CH 12L ..CH +13 217
>Carl: AIORSTU O8 ROUT. +24 339
#note The duck likes AUTHORS O9 here. I don't really understand this position. (-3 Valuation, -3% win chances). #strategymedium
>Mark: P G6 P. +4 221
>Carl: AIMOOSZ 1H MOZO +50 389
>Mark: ?AILNST 5D eNTAILS +67 288
>Carl: AEINOSS 14G A.ENOS.S +34 423
>Mark: EILOV 2D OLIVE +14 302
>Mark: (I) +2 304
#note Quackle says: Bag wasn't empty or tiles drawn out of order
