#player2 Johnny_Utah Johnny Utah
>JD_Rosensweig: JO 8G JO +18 18
#note The OTHER JD who spent a lot of time in the Bay Area!
>Johnny_Utah: EFIINSW I5 WIFE +24 24
#note Best play.
>JD_Rosensweig: AIOT J4 IOTA +20 38
>Johnny_Utah: ?INRSTU H8 .UTRINgS +74 98
#note Second best play. 9C TURIONS would have worked out better. I assumed bingos to the triple scored the most. This was costly. -6.
>JD_Rosensweig: ?AGLNRW - +0 38
#note Exchange 5.
>Johnny_Utah: DELLLST 12G T.LLED +14 112
#note After an exchange 5, I want to close some lane I opened up. TILLED sims best.
>JD_Rosensweig: AUV 10F VA.U +15 53
>Johnny_Utah: ILMOOST K2 LOTO +22 134
#note K1 MOLTO and 11K MOOL seemed too aggressive after a recent exchange. i thought this was safer.
>JD_Rosensweig: AAIR 11J ARIA +17 70
>Johnny_Utah: CIKMRSU L1 KIRS +36 170
#note N9 MUSICK is a little better but I thought it opened a bit too much. KIRS seemed safer. They are within 1-2% of winning %.
>JD_Rosensweig: ADEERSW N9 RESAWED +81 151
#note DRAWEES still comes down after MUSICK. This is best for JD.
>Johnny_Utah: BCMTUUY 2J B..MY +36 206
#note Best play! BLIMY and CLIMB are the top two plays both of which I saw and considered.
>JD_Rosensweig: AEEGIMR 15A REIMAGE. +92 243
#note TURIONS is looking really nice about now! This is best for JD.
>Johnny_Utah: ACOSTUU 15L CO.A +30 236
#note 15K SCUDO is a smidge better. -1 or -2.
>JD_Rosensweig: EHP O8 PEH +31 274
>Johnny_Utah: EIPSTUU M6 PTUI +12 248
#note On more open boards, I instantly trade UU, but this board isn't friendly to EIPST. 14D UP, 14C TUP and D10 SPUTUM are other good possibilities. -5
>JD_Rosensweig: IZ 13F ZI. +16 290
>Johnny_Utah: EENRSUV B11 VENU. +16 264
#note This or GUV? Not a lot happening with this rack.
>JD_Rosensweig: DNO O12 DON. +19 309
#note Scored as 15.
>Johnny_Utah: EEFINRS 14E FIN.ER +36 300
#note If only this were Collins! SJOE# for my homeless REFINES. C12 FE sims a little better than this but mine is the second best play. Quackle thinks EINRS can hit a bingo in the D column. Probably right.
>JD_Rosensweig: ?CGGLNQ - +0 309
#note Exchange 2. Probably dumping the Q!
>Johnny_Utah: BEGLNOS 1L .OBS +41 341
#note Best play! Now I have a homless BELONGS.
>JD_Rosensweig: DEH 12A H.ED +24 333
#note Fantastic play to open a second lane. I can't block bingos ending with A either.
>Johnny_Utah: EEGLNQX L7 EX +36 377
#note Best play! I figured I needed to try and outrun any bingos. I also figured I might be Q stuck, but there were enough opportunities elsewhere on the board to barely override one.
>JD_Rosensweig: ?ACGNOT 1D COTiNGA +90 423
#note I saw COTINGA as a threat but couldn't much about it. Besides its only one word right and not everyone finds it with a blank under pressure. JD played a great game and deserved to win. I didn't make any serious mistakes, but there were some small what ifs that probably made the difference.
>JD_Rosensweig: (AEGLNQY) +40 463
#note Final score recorded as 459-377.
