>Samuel_Kaplan: ALNOOVX 8G OVA +12 12
#note Unconventional, but I wanted to go for spread this game to have an outside chance of reaching a cashing position. I didn't wanna have another one of those games where I make a short X play, my opponent parallels easily, and then I'm forced to exchange or open for cheap depending on what I draw.
>Glenn_Filzer: FNU F6 FUN +21 21
>Samuel_Kaplan: AKLNORX E5 LOX +34 46
#note Knew KLAXON and missed it. This is 2nd best.
>Glenn_Filzer: CHOV I7 H.VOC +21 42
>Samuel_Kaplan: AGIIKNR 11G RA.KING +28 74
#note Again, going for spread. Wasn't crazy about opening up a FUNKY hotspot.
>Glenn_Filzer: ERT 11D RET....... +34 76
#note Nice extension by Glenn here!
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEEITW H11 .WAIT +36 110
#note DAWTIE for 45 is better. Right idea though. This is 2nd. Glad I could make someting this turn and keep the board open.
>Glenn_Filzer: AAE G10 A.EA +13 89

#note There we go! #finallydecentboardvision
>Glenn_Filzer: HIOU D8 HOU.I +24 113
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?ABEEIU L8 BEA.IE +22 202
#note BEAU 10K might be too aggressive even though I'm looking to rack up spread this game. There are still 4 unseen Ss. This is 2nd best according to Q.
>Glenn_Filzer: ART 8L .RAT +18 131
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AABLNU C7 NAB +21 223
#note Did not know AmBULAN(T) which plays at O1. This is 6th.
>Glenn_Filzer: EEEILRS O1 LEERIES. +77 208
>Samuel_Kaplan: ??ALMSU 2H SiMULAt. +78 301
#note After Glenn's range is random, time to really be aggro. B2 SerUMAL is a play I would make if, for example, first place was on the line and I needed to play it safer. However, Verna Richards Berg had already been Gibsonized at that point so I needed spread to have a shot at cashing (even though it was unlikely). This is tied for 2nd best along with other bingoes such as J2 ULtiMAS and MorULAS as well as rAMULoS(E) and SUMmAbL(E) in the same spot.
>Glenn_Filzer: YY M1 Y.Y +18 226
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGILOQT 1G QI +39 340
#note Yep. Easy enough.
>Glenn_Filzer: GNS I1 S.NG +17 243
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGLOPTT N6 PE.T +24 364
#note Not bad. Still trying to rack up something but this time I want Glenn to give me back scoring spots along Column A after he obviously has the last S. This is 3rd.
>Glenn_Filzer: O 9C ..O +5 248
>Samuel_Kaplan: FGILMOT M13 FIG +24 388
#note FIG over FOG with more remaining Is than Os. Q puts FOG over my play in the same spot. I disagree. This is best scoring play. Nothing I could do to defend Column B but that's fine. If his bingo ended with a D along Column B hooking AH I was getting a nice counterplay somehow. My hopes of cashing were over anyway.
>Glenn_Filzer: DEINRSU B2 INSURED +79 327
>Samuel_Kaplan: DDILMOT A7 MOLD +50 438
#note Best play. That's one way to rack up spread. And I'm gonna stick him with either the J or Z too.
>Glenn_Filzer: CEJNOWZ J6 JOE +39 366
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIT G4 DIT +10 448
#note And that's a wrap for this tourney.

I did make some good plays, but other plays were, safe to say, suboptimal. With better play, I could have reasonably gone 6-2 as I felt that my round 2 game and my round 5 game were just not winnable. Round 3 was very winnable and I allowed round 7 to slip away. Too many missed bingoes also played a role. Top players aren't gonna make as many suboptimal plays as I did. I am not willing to hide that I am disappointed in how some plays went.

Back to Aerolith. I hope the next tourney goes better. I will post more club games so stay tuned.
