>smylie: ACCISTY H5 CYCA +22 22
#note this is not a word, and props to us for knowing our 4s. Josh held. I think we both probably recognized this from CYCAS/CYCASES but were not solid enough on CYCASES to be sure CYCAS was sticky S. I placed it with A on the star cause I thought it took an E (lol), and I think I was aware of the D hook but wasn't entirely sure. If CYCA* is good this is totally the play, it's super defensive. H8 ICY is awesome as well for defense, and I would have played it (or CAY) had I not played this. I liked these more than CYSTIC cause they're more defensive and the defense doesn't affect me as much cause I have an S.
>sokol: AEGOW 5H .OWAGE +24 24
#note Yeah, I'm pissed I let this go, because I really didn't like it. Had I known Jackson thought it took an E I would have definitely challenged, realizing he was probably confusing with CYMA and CECA. Ugh. Even though CYCA doesn't take an E Quackle still likes 6H (Y)OW to keep a counterintuitively good leave. #questionable

>sokol: GMOORTW 6J OW +19 43
#note Yeah, fool me once, shame on you or whatever.

This was tough now though, don't want to give him a better play than what he had last turn, but didn't like the look of almost anything. Quackle doesn't really know beyond ZEP, but I know he must not have an A for ZAP 4K. Still, I would like to block that spot so that Jackson doesn't pull out another setup on me. The leave here is no good, but I couldn't come up with a better play. 4I WOT might be best because the leave is better.
>smylie: EINPSTZ N2 ZIPS +43 65
#note considered ZING as well, but since I wasn't aware of CYCAS being valid it's not quite as good as usual. ZIP/ZA is also worth considering, and wins a sim over ZING and ZIPS! also works well after his fishy play cause I make it harder for him to bingo, but still leave myself an S lane. small error
>sokol: GIMORTU J2 MUG..RT +19 62
#note actual rack

Yeah I saw GOMUTI on my rack but just failed to see the spot at 3I. This is really bad. However, context is important. Jackson needed to win the next 3 games by a total of around 600 points to win the tournament, so my MO was to just not lose by 200. To do that I wanted to reduce variance as much as possible. This seemed decent for that goal, since it has the lowest standard deviation of all the candidate plays. Still, GOMUT(I) is better, probably, since I have an advantage this game and just winning the game will win the tourney on the spot for me.

>sokol: DFGINOO H13 FOG +26 88
#note I need to continue my plan of lowering std rates and play H12 INFO to block the 2x2 and not set up a possibly big lane with the G. #strategymedium
>smylie: ?AHJSUV 12I .HUJA +30 164
#note let's go win this game
>sokol: DDEINNO 13K NODI +27 115
#note setting up a phony C hook that I thought was valid, smrt

yeah this crossed my mind but I thought I was playing boss level Jackson, not easy level Jackson. #provemewrong

You might think to keep DINE here, since the I is useful for the G in FOG I've set up for myself. You might be right. #questionable
>smylie: ?ALOSSV O1 VAS +31 195
#note gah! OVAL(N)eSS! such a valid word and also blocks what is next. VAS is better for spread, and VIOL is also good for win% cause it's super defensive (a case to be made that it's even better than bingoing). I do like OVALNESS better than VAS for sure

>sokol: EEILPRT F1 PERLITE +71 297
>smylie: ABHILRX 1F .IX +36 295
#note considered LIBRI quite seriously cause it goes for HA(P)AX, but discarded it cause it gets blocked quite often and I don't hit it very often at all (altho I had forgotten to track VAS so I thought an extra A was out, but still). I liked the synergy of ABHLR, especially the A tile, which is why I was not a fan of LAX or RAX for a few more points (also keeping BLAHs is nice). Interestingly, Q thinks I average 2 more after RAX and 3 more after RAX. could also do blah(s) immediately cause I hit the X so consistently next turn. I'm surprised by LAX scoring more on average than PIX.
>sokol: DEEFILY 14J FEY +35 332
#note I might just win this game now. L1 FLED(G)E was missed, and is a decent play. 14J FEED was also on my mind to keep the great Y tile, versatile extraordinaire #questionable
>smylie: ABBHLQR 12A BLAH. +34 329
#note hoping for a U draw for M3 plays or an I draw for D8 QI

ooh betcha Jackson missed B(U)BAL(IS)
>sokol: DEILSTU B8 DUEL.IST +72 404
#note damn son
>smylie: ?ABNQRT C7 QAT +29 358
#note tossed out BuRQA cause it doesn't seem to win often at all - I go down 12 and leave 3 in the bag. seems like a lot of two tile plays will outrun me easily, or even longer plays that let me do out in twos. Maybe I should still go this route though and hope for stuff like OK(E) G9, or hope he can't block the C column without risking being outrun, and I hit a bingo. Hmm. I thought about BAT c7 cause I hit Qu(E)ENIER with an EEI draw. I was dismayed because I actually drew EEI and was close to playing BAT! BAN and BRAN on the left seemed okay but I didn't see anything I could actually hit. I liked QAT because I figured it would win more often than BAN even though I didn't see the specific path. I also thought NODIC* was good so I thought I could try and hit a bingo there. I also have the L column but I wasn't actually aware of it when I played QAT - that makes me like it more. I like BURQA more than I did over the board cause leaving 3 in the bag is actually decent for me, not tooo many two tile plays that block the C column will outrun super consistently.

#note missed the G lane and thus BERGENIA. BERBERIN also plays at 3a.
>sokol: ADEMORR 2A ARMOR.D +23 468
#note ROA(R)ER 3C is great to set up D(O)M 10D. Jackson might also challenge because this is way too good of an out sequence. -7 #endgamemedium
