>Joshua_Sokol: ACDGGOS 11D DOGG. +16 40
#note could not be 100% sure of COGG(E)D, so given Glenn's challenge-y nature of years past, I couln't pull the trigger despite being pretty confident. #knowledgesmall
>Glenn_Dunlop: EHJU 7F JEHU +28 62

#note note to self during game becomes note to viewers observing: Don't play (R)EV for 14 here at 10H because you think ENORS is a better leave. You will hit a bingo a few more times, but when you don't, you've just sacrificed 8 points and most of your scoring potential. ENORS is not a leave you want to be stuck with with more duplicate bingo consonants on the way. Also your bingos will not score as much or be as defensive.
>Glenn_Dunlop: ?AORSSU J3 AROUSeS +73 222
>Joshua_Sokol: ELORSUV N9 VELOURS +80 262
#note After RE(V), Glenn saves your rack of ELNORSU with J1 AROUSeS, giving you a spot for NEUROSAL for 64.
>Glenn_Dunlop: ACNTY 2J CANTY +47 269
>Joshua_Sokol: BDEEIMR 15H BERIME. +42 304
#note This set in motion a very sad tournament for me with regards with spread. I know there are many more examples of this, where I could have won by so much more in a game that ended up being very tight. EMBODIER seemed totally ridiculous to me, since IMBODIER* was surely invalid. But that is logical. Not NWL-based thinking will not get you far in NWL. #knowledgelarge

>Glenn_Dunlop: AEEFIIN 1N AN +11 324
>Joshua_Sokol: EFLLOTW A8 TWO +22 385
#note Failed to find anything that looked better than this. I would like to keep my hook secret, leave one in the bag, and hope to draw something bigger, but there didn't seem like a way to do that. Still, I should have played as if I was going to draw the V, which is by far the worst tile in the pool, so in that sense I should most probably play (e)LF 8J or (O)F 12O. However, Apparently my T is useful, so I should play A14 OF or OW, but OF looks better as he can counter my F with his F. Press F to pay respects to this pre-endgame #questionable
>Glenn_Dunlop: EEFIIRV 3M REF +28 352
>Glenn_Dunlop: EEFIIRV -- -28 324
>Joshua_Sokol: EEFLLV 12N .F +9 394
#note L(E)V first is important. He has too many spots for his F and I don't want to have to play (NE)VE or VE(E)/EV(E).
>Glenn_Dunlop: EFIINRT 15E TI +14 338
#note oooh I never ever saw the cute fit he had here. wow.
>Joshua_Sokol: EELLV 10M L.V +8 402
>Glenn_Dunlop: EFINR L2 .I..R +12 350
>Joshua_Sokol: EEL G5 LE. +3 405
#note 3N EL. I was now out of time #endgamesmall
>Glenn_Dunlop: EFN 3N EF +11 361
#note -1 to the cute fit at E8
>Joshua_Sokol: E 14N .E +2 407
#note 2 seconds left only. He helpfully pointed out O3 (F)E right as I neutralized the clock...
>Joshua_Sokol: (N) +2 409
