>JD: ILPQSTV J6 QIS +40 54
>Mina: ABFT 9E BAFT +33 62
>JD: AEELPTV D8 VALET +34 88
#note I'm always going to play VALET here and hope my opponent doesn't think of the E hook. to be frank I spaced on VALETA.
>Mina: AELO 8A LAE.O +28 90
>JD: CEJNNPW 10C P.EW +35 123
#note hoping to draw JIN. also, kept the C instead of the P because of possibility of JAUNCE/JOUNCE (and JONCANOE :P)
>Mina: DIIR K4 IRID +24 114
>JD: CJNNORS 4J J.NN +22 145
#note tough to choose between this and just JIN, but I didn't like CNORS with the two open letters on the board being an L and a T.

>Mina: EOV 1H EVO +24 203
>JD: BEEMNPX 13C NEEMB +33 261
#note major hook failure, totally spaced on JINNE for this turn! would've been a perfect setup for my X.
>Mina: ADELRSU M1 LAU.DERS +70 273
>JD: GGHIMPX 14F MIGG +30 291
#note rather than cashing the X, I figured I'd ditch my worst tiles and have a possibly upgrade to nailing HAPAX for 63.
>Mina: HOO 15H OOH +30 303

>Mina: ?AINOTU 12G OUTgAIN +69 372
>JD: NNRRTUW D1 W.RN +22 376
#note in hindsight, I like dropping TURN on this turn. leaving 3 in the bag limits the range of plays Mina can make (although dropping an L play at 1M is going to be a great option for her, often). Also there are two Ts and a U left in the bag, so WORN has serious duplication risks. with all that said, I don't see how NRW is going to win after Mina scores next turn (again, she can just fish at 1M most of the time), so I'm ok with trying this.
>Mina: DEU C2 .UED +20 392
>JD: AINRTUY 11H YUAN +26 402
#note really interesting and tough pre-endgame! I'm in bad shape here. Mina can win most of the time just by dropping EYE at 11D. There are two ways I can counter: one is by blocking the spot with UNITY at 12A. That's the only way I can win on paper - when I draw the Y, I end up with two great outs (YURTA and ARTY at 3F), and steal a 2-point win! She also has to play perfectly if the D or the E are in the bag. I did not consider options like this enough over the board because I didn't think they'd score enough. Option #2 is to punish her for dropping EYE by holding back scoring tiles and trying to outrun. To do that, I can play ULAN at 1L keeping the Y. If she plays EYE immediately, I can steal a win if the A or L were in the bag, and she has to play a perfect out-in-two to beat an E draw. My play of YUAN ties if I draw the A and is somewhat threatening if I draw the E, but these other two plays would've given me a better shot.
>Mina: ADELTTY 11D .YE +36 428
#note she can really punish the lameness of my rack here by playing TET at N6 to set up LADY for 49!
>JD: IIRT F5 TI. +14 416
#note RIZ bc IT goes at N5
>Mina: ADLTT 10J DALT +19 447
