#player1 Johnny_Utah Johnny Utah
#player2 Samuel_Smith Samuel Smith
>Johnny_Utah: CEGILOP 8H LOGIC +22 22
#note Game 5 of the 2019 Indianapolis tourney. I saw POLICE but greatly preferred a PE leave to a G leave. EPILOG is probably the best of them all by a little bit. Not huge either way.
>Samuel_Smith: ?EFKOOT K3 FOOTl.KE +78 78
#note Best for Sam. Great play!
>Johnny_Utah: BBDEEIP L1 BEEP +35 57
#note Best play!
>Samuel_Smith: AERVW M3 WAVER +47 125
>Johnny_Utah: BDEIOOT 1L .OOB +24 81
#note J8 GOBO for 29! -5.
>Samuel_Smith: ?IORRTY H2 TORRId.Y +61 186
#note The SORORITY plays in the I column are one more and J8 GOY for 34 keeping IRRT? is an option, but this seems fine to me. The SORORITY plays give me bingos in any case so this worked out the best for Sam.
>Johnny_Utah: DEIIOST J10 OI +8 89
#note I had this exact same rack against Darin in game 2 and play OTITIDES. No such luck this time. Anyways, my play opens a lane and plays defense on the J10 spot. I like it.
>Samuel_Smith: DIN I1 DIN +10 196
>Johnny_Utah: ADEISTX N6 XED +54 143
#note Should have done J1 AX. -10.2
>Samuel_Smith: ADENRSZ O7 ZANDERS +125 321
#note This should have never gone down. UGGH
>Johnny_Utah: AEIQSTU 5E QUI.E +28 171
#note Setting up my S. All of my win percentages are now below 1%!
>Samuel_Smith: AEEGHNR 7A HANGERE. +63 384
#note HANGERED is apparently phony. Well, it was in my interest to allow it because of what came next.
>Johnny_Utah: AILSTTU C3 LUTA.IST +68 239
#note Best play!
>Samuel_Smith: CENNSUU - +0 384
#note Unsuccesful challenge! Sam said he saw LUTENIST but not this form. Not the first time I played this and had it unsuccessfully challenged.
>Johnny_Utah: AADEILR A3 RAIL.EAD +89 328
#note Best play! HEADRAIL is too aggressive even for me, which is saying something.
>Samuel_Smith: JTU 13L JUT. +22 406
>Johnny_Utah: ACEHIMO L11 HA.I +28 356
#note This would have been a lot easier if my lot tile were an N instead of O so I could play MACHINE/MACHINES. However I am faced with this dilemma. I don't want to part with my E since they are so few remaining. 14K HOMA? It's all bleak at this point.
>Samuel_Smith: MSUW 15L SWUM +46 452
#note That seals the deal.
>Johnny_Utah: CEMNOPV D2 COP +24 380
>Samuel_Smith: AAEINST E7 .NTASIAE +66 518
>Samuel_Smith: AAEINST -- -66 452
#note I dodged a huge bullet. Sam didn't find RATANIES.
>Johnny_Utah: EGLMNVY F7 .EV +6 386
#note RATANIES needs to be blocked. This does the trick.
>Samuel_Smith: AAEINST 1A AINS +24 476
>Johnny_Utah: FGLMNNY 2N MY +29 415
#note Best play!
>Samuel_Smith: AET M9 TAE +9 485
>Samuel_Smith: (FGLNN) +18 503
#note Missing J1 AX was a killer. Other than that, this was a pretty well played game. It's hard to say what would have happened after AX. I still would have been behind by 53, with Sam playing and holding a bingo prone leave. Oh well, try and look harder the next time.
