>Alec: DEGRRTV I8 GED +22 46
>Matt: AESV J6 VASE +32 44
>Alec: AIRRSTV 11C VAIRS +27 73
#note Quackle strongly prefers killing the board with 7F VAC, although IRRST leaves something to be desired. 11D VARS may also be better. #tacticsmedium
>Matt: EINRSTU C7 UNRI.ETS +76 120
>Alec: AEIMPRT D2 PRIMATE +79 152
>Matt: DIW 8A WI..D +27 147
>Alec: AAHNPTZ B4 ZAPT.AH +53 205
#note This was my proudest find of the tournament, until Quackle revealed 14A ANSATZ. Matt held. #findinglarge
>Matt: FGO E4 FOG +30 177
>Alec: ?ENORTT 2D .aTENTOR +63 268
#note I deemed 11I sTENTOR volatile enough that PaTENTOR was worth the 4-point sacrifice. It's not. #tacticsmedium
>Matt: AKORS 1K OKRAS +44 221
>Alec: AEEILOT 13B E.IOLATE +60 328
#note All the P's have been played, so pETIOLATE was a nonfactor this game.
>Matt: BIY H1 I.BY +39 260
>Alec: BENOUUX 12H UNBOX +35 363
#note I missed D11 AXION, but Quackle prefers this.
>Matt: HY 12B Y.H +35 295
>Alec: DELNQUU K10 QU.D +28 391
#note Can anyone explain why Quackle likes plays like 13K DUEL and 13K DUNE so much? All I can think of is that they fish for N10 QUELL and QUEEN respectively. But they also open floaters when I'm ahead. Quackle hates this but it is more reasonable than what Quackle likes, so I'm not tagging this as a mistake.
>Matt: ADEL 14E DALE +19 314
>Alec: EFILMNU 2N MI +18 409
#note Quackle prefers N1 ALUMNI, which apparently wins 100%. I was trying to prevent bingos. But Quackle hates MI, and indeed something like 15H sELENIC or O1 SILICONEs can still outrun. #tacticslarge
>Matt: E H1 ....E +10 324
>Alec: EFILNUW G13 ..L +3 412
#note What do I block, 15H sELENIC/sILENCE or O1 SILICONEs? Quackle says neither, that 14A UNS and many other plays outrun. I decided to block sELENIC/sILENCE, I think because it scores more and is easier to find than SILICONEs. However, my block for sELENIC/sILENCE scores only 3 points, and if Matt has sELENIC/sILENCE he also has L4 ELENChI. Also O1 SILENCINg, L4 CaNNOLI, and 4G LYCOpENE and sYNCLINE exist. In order to block all bingos except sELENIC/sILENCE/ELENChI, I would have to play three or more tiles on row 3 spanning from 3L to 3N, but it is impossible to do that without allowing another bingo starting from 3M. In short, blocking bingos isn't worth it, and 14A UNS saving F4 FLEW is best. #tacticslarge
>Matt: N 7J .N +2 326
>Alec: EFINOUW 3M WIN +20 432
#note It's a shame Quackle doesn't see this play, because unlike Quackle's suggestions, WIN blocks O1 SILICONEs, 4G LYCOpENE, and column L; it doesn't give back any bingos, and it even saves FOE at F4 and 4L.
>Matt: ?CEELNO 4K CLONE +32 358
>Alec: EFIOU F4 FOE +28 460
>Matt: ?E 14J Es +17 375
#note 9A EARs scores 19. (-2)
>Matt: (IU) +4 379
