#player1 Mina Mina
#player2 Sam_Kantimathi Sam Kantimathi
>Mina: ?IIKOUV -IIKUV +0 0
#note Awesome, I made the correct exchange. After a 3000-iteration sim, the valuation of exchanging IIKUV is 121.4 and the valuation of exchanging IIKOUV (the next best move) is -14.7.
>Sam_Kantimathi: AX 8H AX +18 18
>Mina: ?AENOPT 7C PrONATE +75 75
#note Oops I completely neglected to do the math and discover that it was possible to score 76 points on this move simply by playing at J2. Scoring 75 instead isn't a huge mistake, but lesson taken. Also, PhONATE has a dynamic valuation slightly above PrONATE because the H is harder to play through.
>Sam_Kantimathi: AAEEGIS F4 AGE.ESIA +63 81
>Mina: ACELORU 9A CAROU.EL +65 140
>Mina: ACELORU -- -65 75
#note Oh CRAP, I missed O(P)ERCULA!
>Sam_Kantimathi: DIY E11 YID +24 105
>Mina: ACELORU 9I OCULAR +21 96
#note Next best after finding OPERCULA would have been to fish off OU at 9I. I guess they're saying that I blew up my leave for not-enough-points, which is an easy concept for me to understand if my leave is AENST, less so if it's ACELR. Like, intuitively I don't see ACELR as all that wonderful. P.S. I had no idea OCULAR took an -S. If I'd known, I wouldn't have played it!
>Sam_Kantimathi: GOO 8A GOO +16 121
>Mina: EEFHILN 8M FEH +34 130
#note Got this move right.
>Sam_Kantimathi: IJNN 12A JINN. +40 161
>Mina: AAEIILN A12 .AIL +33 163
#note Got this move right as well.
>Sam_Kantimathi: FW E6 W.F +19 180
>Mina: AEEINRT 5F .RATINEE +68 231
#note Right, the highest-scoring bingo of the three available.
>Sam_Kantimathi: DEO 6J DOE +19 199
#note Ooh, the same three letters played for 29 points at J7, hard to see!
>Mina: EGIKTUW C10 WI.K +22 253
#note Best was 4L TWIG for 31, which I don't think I saw. I also totally missed 4E W(A)UK for 29, which is hard to see because of the overlaps. Didn't know C7 (PO)UKI(N)G for 30, and missed C7 (PO)UTI(N)G for 22: disconnected plays are tricky to see too. Anyway, I couldn't understand why the dynamic valuation of my play WI(N)K, at 9.8, was soooo much worse than the dynamic valuation of TWIG which is 27.6, so I enlisted Cesar to explain it to me. I told him I would have chosen WAUK if I had seen it. He explained that WAUK opens up a bingo lane above it, whereas TWIG shuts down a hotspot and keeps the K for hotspots like B10 and 10N! Wow, I wish Quackle were as educational as Cesar!
>Sam_Kantimathi: Q 11B Q. +22 221
>Mina: EEGNTUY 4L GEY +24 277
#note Oops, didn't see 4H YUG, which sims best, and didn't know 4L GYTE, which sims second-best.
>Sam_Kantimathi: AE 10M AE +15 236
>Mina: EIINTUV N2 IV. +18 295
#note I wrote "unitive, punitive" on my scoresheet. Looks like I made the correct play here.
>Sam_Kantimathi: ADENORS 15A .ADRONES +80 316
>Mina: ?EINOTU A1 rOUTEIN. +77 372
#note Correct, the best-scoring bingo available.
>Sam_Kantimathi: EMTU 1L MUTE +37 353
>Mina: HOPRRSZ B2 PHO +31 403
#note Oooooooops, I missed 2J ZHO! And because I missed it, he was able to bingo there next turn, ughhhhh!! Second best was G11 POZ, which would have been defensively smart because it would prevent bingos that start at 14G.
>Sam_Kantimathi: BIMRSTU 2F BRUTISM +75 428
>Sam_Kantimathi: BCTV (challenge) +5 433
>Mina: DLLRRSZ H1 L.Z +36 439
#note Ouch, that BRUTISM hurt bad. He's now emptied the bag to go ahead by thirty, and I have seven consonants to get rid of, while he has four: can I pull this out??? Championship Player says there are only twoooo winning plays for me at this juncture, and thank god I found one of them!!!!!!!!!!! The other one was H1 D(U)RR(A). If you play DURRA, you have K8 L(U)LZ with a backup spot of (GEE)Z if he blocks it... I dunno, I'd rather score more right now and think on his time later!
>Sam_Kantimathi: BCTV J4 V.. +7 440
#note Wowwww, he missed or didn't know VOCULAR making TAV, which I certainly didn't know until now!
>Mina: DLRRS 4A ..LD +10 449
#note Sweet, best play was H5 ARTAL making LOCULAR, which is hella hard to see.
>Sam_Kantimathi: BCT N8 ...CT +7 447
>Mina: RRS F4 ........S +33 482
#note I could've gone out with (YA)RRS but I clearly don't know my fours. Fortunately, he challenged both JINNIS and AGENESIAS, giving me a total of 33 points for a 23-point move.
>Sam_Kantimathi: B K5 ..B +5 452
>Sam_Kantimathi: (RR) +4 456
