#player2 Rafi_Stern Rafi Stern
>Ken: AFGILOV 8D OGIVAL +22 22
#note I was shocked that Rafi held and ultimately challenged OGIVAL. It is a weird-looking word, but I knew 100% it was good and never even considered that it would be held. Didn't take it as a sign of anything except an extra turn.
>Rafi_Stern: AAENOTY - +0 0
>Ken: AFIIPST E8 .IFT +16 38
#note Quackle prefers IF E9 by 4-5 equity points which makes sense because the AIPST leave is significantly better than AIPS for bingoing on the next turn. I sometimes forget how important consonant to vowel ratio is, especially for bingo leaves
>Rafi_Stern: EEFS 12B FEES +23 23
>Ken: AIIPSTU B11 P.UI +18 56
>Rafi_Stern: ENNORSW 9H WONNERS +70 93
>Ken: AIJPRST 8L PAIR +38 94
>Rafi_Stern: ORU 10J OUR +16 109
>Ken: ?JMOSTY N6 JO..T +30 124
>Rafi_Stern: AEILN C9 ALI.N +20 129
>Ken: ?CMNNSY A14 MY +25 149
#note Missed SYNCOM D4 for 31 points which would have been nice.
>Rafi_Stern: AE F10 AE +13 142
>Ken: ?ACLNNS 7K CAL. +17 166
>Rafi_Stern: BNO 11I NOB +23 165
>Ken: ?DEMNNS 12H MEN +14 180
#note Missed B3 SANDMEN for 65 points. That was a big miss and really detrimental in a tight board game. To be a top player, I cannot miss SANDMEN. Quackle also likes D7 NOM for 10 points I think because I can bingo on C1 on my next turn with a DENS? leave. And if Rafi bingoes in that spot, I have a great chance to bingo back on what would be the newly wide open upper left quadrant of the board.
>Rafi_Stern: AEU O10 EAU +6 171
>Ken: ?DDNSTW -DDW +0 180
#note I think exchanging clearly a mistake here. 9B WADI better because it score 11 points and keep the board closed. I want Rafi to make a play that opens things up so that I can bingo. After 9B WADI I'm only up by 20 points, but on this board a 20 point difference can actually be significant
>Rafi_Stern: ADEIRST B3 ARIDEST +64 235
#note Yep
>Ken: ?INSTTY 3A T.NISTrY +70 250
>Rafi_Stern: GHH D2 H.GH +22 257
>Ken: ADDEETU A7 DUET +27 277
#note I missed A1 DAUTED / THIGH for 40 points. I never saw the T front hook on HIGH which is really bad. I ended up scoring in that spot on the next turn, but if I can't fronthook HIGH to THIGH, I don't deserve to beat Rafi here.
>Rafi_Stern: AKO H1 KA.O +36 293
>Ken: ADEEOVX A1 DE.OX +54 331
>Rafi_Stern: GIW 13G WIG +23 316
>Ken: AEEIQRV E1 QI. +17 348
#note Quackle says E1 QIS for 17 points is best and gives me a 61% chance to win, but Rafi finished strong and squeezed the life out of me. At this point, I was a bit rattled and probably low on time.
>Rafi_Stern: ?BCDEOZ H12 ..B +7 323
>Ken: AEELRRV 14F RE. +12 360
>Rafi_Stern: ?CDEOZ O1 ZyDECO +63 386
#note Very nice 2-play sequence from Rafi.
>Rafi_Stern: (AELRV) +16 402
