>Kenji: ACEEIIQ 8G QI +22 22
#note Really disappointed in myself here. If you're a higher rated player against a player who is almost certainly better at strategy than words, you simply can't play QI here. There's even a position in my book that is almost exactly like this one that I literally created about 3-4 weeks ago, and I ended up just autopiloting and playing blind. This game goes south after this and really it's all because I autopiloted here.
>Oliver: FI 9G IF +23 23
>Kenji: ACEEINT -ACE +0 22
#note Not a lot of great options despite a really good draw. I really just can't stand playing here, and EINT trades enough tiles so I can draw better stuff while being able to counter a lot of Oliver's good racks.
>Oliver: FOO I9 FOO +23 46
>Kenji: AEIJNTT F9 JET +29 51
#note I think this and JOTA are pretty close to dead even. I like what JOTA does to this j10 and h11 spots, but I really hate giving away J plays to the triple, although they give me a lot of 8s here. If JET were 4 or 5 points more instead of 7, I probably play JOTA here instead.
>Oliver: AIIN J10 INIA +12 58
>Kenji: AAEINPT 12A PATINE +33 84
#note I really need to think long and hard about PIETA here, and it's probably the line. I know this isn't the board I wanted but sometimes you gotta lie in your bed, and this is pretty risky for not a lot of gain against a range that's pretty solid. Probably a small mistake here.
>Oliver: LPU A12 .ULP +24 82
>Kenji: ACLOTVX H11 COXAL +50 134
>Oliver: ?AGINOT 15H .OcATING +77 159
>Kenji: DDHLOTV 14E HOD.D +15 149
#note I understand why I made this play, but on reflection I really do hate it. It's probably x6, but it's definitely exchanging. The OIL etc. stuff isn't enough to justify playing through this, as the V really is quite bad here.
>Oliver: AIMZ B11 Z.MIA +44 203
>Kenji: KLRTVWY 11H ...KY +28 177
#note I don't like this play either. I think it's -RTVW, but I can be convinced there's a better line. This is just way too "honest" of a line, and I really didn't think this through enough.
>Oliver: EIOW 12L OWIE +26 229
>Kenji: GLRRTVW -GLRVW +0 177
#note The last three plays are just not the way to play against someone with a significantly lower rating. Even if I did get a vowel, is this really a good situation? Poor play on my part here, and pretty justified result.
>Oliver: AGOS C9 GOA.S +37 266
>Kenji: BEEERST 13L BE +26 203
>Oliver: BNOR O8 BORN. +21 287
>Kenji: EEERSTY N9 YE +16 219
#note This play preserves row 7, which I need to do desperately. That being said, you can make a case that I should just play YEN here and make Oliver play something like CUB next turn. 9c still serves as a legitimate fork as well, so things don't go too haywire if Oliver blocks, though I definitely think that my play is the optimal standard line.
>Oliver: EM E10 ME. +18 305
>Kenji: EEGRSTV 15A ..RVE +19 238
#note I probably should just exchange here, as realistically I need two bingos to win anyway. This is quite optimistic, even though there are 4 Rs left and this is one of the better scoring spots left. Again I do save forks, but forks will again definitely need two bingos, and the G still isn't a good tile.
>Oliver: DDEENT 7H DENTED +18 323
>Kenji: EEGSTUV 9A VU. +7 245
#note I'm not really sure here, and considered EGG 9a, EGG 9b, VUG, VUGG, and TEGU. Ultimately, I just felt like VUG made the best chance for a bingo while not encouraging a 6 tile play that basically just ends the game.
>Oliver: AAL A7 LA.A +21 344
>Kenji: ?EEGSST K2 GESTa.ES +66 311
#note This is gross, but I don't really have much choice.
>Oliver: EIRRTU 5I RU.TIER +7 351
>Kenji: CHLRSUW D4 CHURLS +32 343
#note CURLEWS is a bit better.
>Oliver: ANR 2H RAN. +7 358
>Oliver: (W) +8 366
