>Stefan: BETU 6G TUBE +17 34
>Will: ABEFLRT 5J FLAB +23 67
#note B6 FLUB is tempting here. Scores 6 fewer and blocks the promising column A lane, but leaves AERT with the TUBE/R lane still available. One way around the problem of blocking column A is to simply play FUB instead, since it still permits -ED bingos to go down, but scoring 8 points is too much of a sacrifice. 5J FAB instead of FLAB is worth a thought as well to avoid making a strong scoring spot on row 4 if Stefan has an A, but the ELRT leave is a bit clunkier than ERT and I suspected I would bingo at least as much with ERT after FLAB, if not more, and get 2 extra points in the bargain. FLAB sims best.
>Stefan: IIIII -IIIII +0 34
>Will: ADEGNRT B8 .NGRATED +78 145
#note Sorry Stefan :( there was a chance he might've encountered this phony before, but if not, it just looks so reasonable.
>Stefan: EO A14 OE +17 51
>Will: ?DDIJRU L2 JUR. +22 167
#note Not particularly inspiring but nothing better.
>Stefan: EESX C11 EXES +40 91
>Will: ?DDEIQR 3K Q.ID +28 195
#note Came extremely close to playing D10 DIED here, which keeps things much more under control than QUID does; a QUIDS hooking bingo is far worse than a FLABS or WAGS hooking bingo, and certainly Stefan is at least slightly likelier to have another S after EXES, though it's also a play one could easily make with just one. But DER? just blows QR? so far out of the water in bingo% that QUID has to be right.
>Stefan: NOT 12A T..ON +26 117
>Will: ??DEKOR O3 stROKED +94 289
>Stefan: IILNORS J8 SIRLOIN +69 186
>Will: CHIIIPR 11J .ICHI +20 309
#note Tanked for a good long while here trying to figure out what to do; LICHI has the advantage of exhausting a little bit of bingo real estate (column N, rows 10-12), but has the drawback of opening a spot for huge ZI- bomb plays and doing nothing to address SIRLOINS. Something like I12 PHI, on the other hand, scores 7 more than LICHI and blocks SIRLOINS and rows 12-14, but leaves column N untouched and also leaves two Is. I didn't see 12J ORPHIC, which scores even better and has similar blocking ability to the other plays, but the II leave can go sour much more easily than IPR. LICHI does sim comfortably best.
>Stefan: EEEMNST 15D MENTEES +94 280
>Will: AINPRRZ 11E IZAR +30 339
#note IZAR would be a reasonable play here, on par with N8 NAZI and 11B REPAIR, except that I completely whiffed on L11 CAPIZ for 56. After MENTEES, I need those extra points to withstand an A1 bingo to the D and might even struggle to deal with a STAW hooking bingo without those points too. #findinglarge
>Stefan: HIIL L11 .HILI +22 302
>Will: GMNOPRV N10 V.GOR +34 373
#note Unhappy with just having to let the upper left sit untouched, but the equity sacrifice of playing there continues to be enormous. Other interesting ideas here include 13H PRIMING and N8 MOVING.
>Stefan: EPY O13 YEP +31 333
>Will: IMNPUWY A3 UPWIN. +15 388
#note Whew. There's only NOVATES/STAW to block here, but in addition to accomplishing that UPWIND draws into YOM parallel to STROKED. There's nothing available from the U or P after UPWIND either.
