Player 1
#player1 Joey Joey
#player2 Thomas Thomas
>Joey: DEFGGOW 8D FOGGED +32 32
#note In case you haven't noticed, my racks going first have been pretty dreadful. This was the most I scored for an opener, and it kept one of the worst single tile leaves.
>Thomas: IIIII -IIIII +0 0
>Joey: EIIORSW F6 WI. +15 47
>Thomas: EIIN G8 .ENII +7 7
>Joey: AAEIORS 10G .AOI +6 53
#note On a better day, I'd find AERADIOS in a heartbeat. Even on my worse days, this shouldn't ever be missed, but it's somewhat recent validity makes it harder to remember looking for.
>Thomas: EIJNORT 5B JOINTER +86 93
>Joey: AEERSTV E8 .VEREATS +72 125

>Thomas: AHP 14B PHA. +35 196
>Joey: AGLLMNT G2 LAM. +23 227
#note GLOAM C3 sheds another consonant, making that an upgrade over LAME.
>Thomas: CUYY A9 YUC.Y +17 213
>Joey: DEGLNST I2 DELS +41 268
>Thomas: RTTU C3 TR.UT +12 225

>Thomas: ?AILORR 15H .ROvIRAL +80 305
>Joey: CGLNSTZ C11 N.C.. +20 307
#note I probably would have exchanged had he not bingoed. That might have still been the right move, but the Q was out there, and I didn't really want that either.
>Thomas: AA 14N AA +10 315
>Joey: FGLQSTZ -FGLQT +0 307
#note So a bizarre incident happened here. After I drew my replacement tiles, I absentmindedly started putting my exchanged tiles back on my rack. My opponent called for the director, who consulted with another director and looked at the five I had intended to exchange and ruled that I was still allowed to. Yowza.
>Thomas: DEHIOTU 7H HIDEOUT +72 387
>Joey: EESSUWZ J14 W. +13 320
#note Now I *need* the Q of all tiles for SQUEEZES! But would he leave it open??
>Thomas: ?AEEFGT O4 FEAsT +44 431
#note No! But...
>Joey: EELSSUZ L7 .UZEL +15 335
#note I left the Q in the bag. That about sums things up for the day.
>Thomas: EGQ L14 Q. +11 442
>Joey: ESS 12J ESS +36 371
>Joey: (EG) +6 377
