>Luckbox_Lindh: EIILNOV 8D OLIVINE +72 72
#note This is the game that caused my tournament to derail. I was 8-7 at this point with a great spread and if I won this one before the lunch break I was in a good position to pick up a lots of ratings points. The playing room was sweltering and there was a very loud Indian wedding in the ballroom we normally play in. Both of these things were really throwing off my concentration this game. On a lighter note, Matt and I had the two best pairs of shoes at the tournament. I had patent red Air Force Ones and Matt had dark rainbow Lebron 15's.
>Matt_Graham: FFIMS K4 MIFFS +37 37
#note OLIVINES is good, but I thought Matt might have been phonying me. This play put me out of whack and this explains the horrific sequence that comes next.
>Luckbox_Lindh: CDEHRRU E4 CHUR.ED +26 98
>Luckbox_Lindh: CDEHRRU -- -26 72
#note I was going to play CHURL in this spot and got greedy. Extreme heat makes me more willing to chance phonies, and you will see a lot of them in my annotated games. L1 CURED for 33 seems best. Note the unplayable CHURRED which I saw.
>Matt_Graham: DDGILNO D7 D.ODLING +72 109
#note Best play! Keep an eye on this word.
>Luckbox_Lindh: CDEHRRU L2 CRUD +25 97
#note I end up selecting the 4th best play instead of CURED. This is about -5.
>Matt_Graham: ?AAENNN C1 ANtENNA +68 177
#note Nice find by Matt but I think he underscored this by 2.
>Luckbox_Lindh: CEHJRRT 1A CH.RT +33 130
#note I was paranoid about the 3x3. Clearly A4 JEER for 38. Bad. -12
>Matt_Graham: AAIILV 10B VI.ALIA +21 198
>Luckbox_Lindh: ?EEIJMR - +0 130
#note Unsuccessful challenge! I thought this blocked MIJHNEER* when the correct word was MIJHNEER.
>Matt_Graham: OOSTY 15D SOOTY +40 238
#note Now I'm completely out of focus and allow DOODLINGS# to stay on. I had a bad feeling this was phony about half way through the game. Now I am completely out of whack. This is getting worse.
>Luckbox_Lindh: ?EEIJMR 14B JI. +22 152
#note MIJNHEER again. I don't think I will get the chance to play that word again.
>Matt_Graham: ADEP 2J PA.ED +32 270
>Luckbox_Lindh: ?EEMRST 14H MEiSTER +73 225
#note Terrible. I flat out miss A1 CREMATES and chicken out on M1 DEEMSTER which I saw. Terrible -19. We can all head for the exits.
>Matt_Graham: AQT K11 QAT. +26 296
>Luckbox_Lindh: AEEIUUW - +0 225
#note I exchanged everything keeping an E.
>Matt_Graham: EGLT 4A GL.ET +16 312
>Luckbox_Lindh: EEHNUXZ 1M HEX +47 272
#note Best play!
>Matt_Graham: ABRTUY H4 RUBA.Y.T +14 326
>Luckbox_Lindh: ENORUWZ 1G ZERO +43 315
#note OUZO F12 maybe?
>Matt_Graham: AEEW 15L AWEE +34 360
>Luckbox_Lindh: AGKNOUW 2E OKA +30 345
#note 13C KNOW. -12. Bad miss. Keeping UW is never a good idea.
>Matt_Graham: E M13 E.. +12 372
>Luckbox_Lindh: BGINUUW L10 GIB +31 376
#note Not doing WIG in case Matt has an out bingo.
>Matt_Graham: EIOOPRS 3E RIP +35 407
#note I5 PORNOS for 39 is clearly best, but this is perfectly fine for getting the win. This is about 2nd or 3rd best.
>Luckbox_Lindh: NUUW F14 W. +13 389
#note Best
>Matt_Graham: EOOS M10 OS +17 424
#note A4 GOOSE and B4 LOOSE are Matt's outs.
>Luckbox_Lindh: NUU 9M NU +7 396
#note Best
>Matt_Graham: EO 13C O.E +10 434
#note 6K FOE is 4 better.
>Matt_Graham: (U) +2 436
#note This is a game I would like to have back. The heat really started to affect me here and would affect me more in the Saturday afternoon games.
