#note i play a very board-choking style sometimes so i expect this to not sim that great. i didn't like 10F RUANA keeping TT, but after i hit my clock i realized that it took an A now, and that it might actually be the best play. i should probably do RUANA. 10F UTA is another good possibility. a bit of a strange choice i made. -2
>ryan_c: GIRT 10F TRIG +17 51
>cesar: ADDNRTU -UDD +0 93
#note it seemed like making any move was a zugzwang so i decided to exchange here. i wasn't too happy about it. i was tempted to play RUDD, but 11I ADD or AND sim best -- i completely forgot about NAGA. -7
>ryan_c: III -III +0 51
>cesar: AGINRTV 6E VIRGA.. +13 106
#note i could probably exchange V and let him open the board. i can also draw INTEGRATE. this is a big mistake; i got tunnel vision from trying not to give him anything and wanting to close down more stuff. -16
>ryan_c: HINNO H1 HONIN. +33 84
#note didn't even do a good job of closing things with the G there.
>cesar: LNOORTV 4D VOLT. +16 122
#note vertical volti is a bit more defensive and better.
>ryan_c: CFRT 2F CR.FT +18 102
>cesar: AEINORY 3J AIRY +16 138
#note one of the reasons i don't like playing closed boards in general is that i bleed a lot of equity, and i don't know how to quantify that the plays i am making are at all correct. part of the reason I want to make a Scrabble AI with machine learning is to be able to better tell what are good and bad non-equity plays. here though, the correct answer of 3E YEAN looks pretty straightforward, i didn't spot it at all, or even stuff like HOARY.. try harder cesar. -12
>ryan_c: BEE 3E BEE. +20 122
#note he spotted that spot much faster than i did (even when quackling this i couldn't figure out where he played, wow)
>cesar: EMNOORU 1J UNMOOR +36 174
>ryan_c: IIIII -IIIII +0 122
>cesar: EIIKQSU O1 .EIKI +14 188
#note time to play scared again. i REALLY overdid it here, i haven't played this paranoidly in ages, so it's good to see it here so i don't do this again. L1 MIRK keeping EIQSU for the possibility of a huge score is awesome. just play that. -20

>ryan_c: DDEO 11C EDDO +14 190
>cesar: ?EFINNT C6 FENNI.sT +74 330
#note my dumb "plan" worked, but i lost so much equity. not a well-played game by me.
>ryan_c: AYZ 8A ZA.Y +60 250
>cesar: AEIJLSX L10 J.IL +22 352
#note -7; the best endgame is B13 AJI
>ryan_c: EEEMOW M13 OWE +16 266
>cesar: AESX A8 .AXES +22 374
>cesar: (EEM) +10 384
#note yeah, don't play like that again. do stuff like -V, MIRK, or even RUANA; i play obsessive to the point of bad board control against people i don't know very well.
