#note Hated all my leaves after playing something like L5 DUI or DUIT. TUTU is also problematic since I want to be able to bingo early against Gibson, and that makes it harder unless I draw an S. I don't want a completely closed board yet.

#note I saw both LINOCUT and LECTION, but I'm in a great spot to bingo next turn and I'd rather him not slam me on column O with a bingo starting in S, since there's 3 of them unseen. I'm fine with playing the waiting game.

>Avery: ?ILMNOT 13E MoONLIT +64 374
#note Thought there was an off chance MOLTINGS* was good, so I played the word I was sure didn't take an S.
>David_Gibson: AERST 14J TARES +20 314
#note Interesting play to fork the board. I didn't ask him what he kept.

#note Many more errors this tournament than I'd like to see. I definitely had some issues with my focus this tournament, often wandering around aimlessly between turns. Tracking was also an issue occasionally but I was able to fix it as the tournament went on. I credit a lot of this performance to making better informed decisions with regards to the bag, playing appropriate defense for bingos (making sure that the easy spots are addressed, since that's what these kinds of opponents will often need), and obviously drawing well. I'm definitely out of practice since the weeks surrounding my finals had little to no Scrabble, but I'm feeling good about how I did and how I know I can play. I still honestly think there's many people in the 2000s range who are far better than I am, but I'm glad I know I can compete with them.

Thanks to everyone in the community for constantly reminding me how lucky I am to be a part of it. You all make this so fun for me and I'm glad I can share my favorite hobby with a great group of people. Special thanks to Chris Schneider for driving me around everywhere in Atlanta and for being a good roommate.
