>Geoffrey_Newman: DIQSU H4 QUIDS +50 50
>David_Koenig: AEIILUU 4H .UAIL +28 28
#note Missing EQUALI.
>Geoffrey_Newman: ABCHT 3K BATCH +30 80
>David_Koenig: BEGIITU 3E GIBE +26 54
#note Quackle prefers 5K BUG by about a point and a half. *shrug* My play is fine.
>Geoffrey_Newman: OOT O1 TO.O +24 104
>David_Koenig: IIJTTUX 2D TUX +54 108
>Geoffrey_Newman: INOY 1A YONI +27 131
>David_Koenig: AEIIJMT B1 .JIME +28 136
>Geoffrey_Newman: ?AEEMST A4 METAgES +94 225
#note Not bad. The best bingo is the hard to find MEATUsES on row 5 for five more points.
>David_Koenig: ACEIIKT N2 I.K +28 164
#note Simulation agrees. ICTIC scores more, but the leave is good here, especially at this score. I'm still a heavy underdog, with less than a 13.5% chance to win at this point.
>Geoffrey_Newman: AADDOU B9 AOUDAD +26 251
#note I like the way Geoffrey is going for rapid turnover.
>David_Koenig: AACEITT 5J ITA +21 185
>Geoffrey_Newman: DEEGLN C5 LEGEND +22 273
>David_Koenig: ACEORTY A12 OYER +36 221
#note I need points, not just bingos. Also, there are a lot of E's and R's remaining, while there are few A's and no T's, so my leave goes very well with the remaining pool. And there is value in taking out this spot to stop him from padding his lead.
>Geoffrey_Newman: EFL 1L FEL. +21 294
#note The possibility of the HEARTFELT extension occurred to me after this play.
>David_Koenig: AACGORT C12 AG +24 245
#note This game is a good lesson in the "don't panic when you're down" philosophy. I coolly kept making good plays and happily took away the scoring spots. A board where it is easier to get bingos than big scoring plays is often most conducive to comebacks, because both players have to just keep plodding along at low scores until one of them hits one, and if you win that race to the bingo, you haven't fallen too far behind in the meantime.
>Geoffrey_Newman: ELW 6E LWE. +15 309
#note Likely missing at least one of the ODAL and YAGE hooks. LEW at the least is much stronger than his play.
>David_Koenig: ACENORT 8H .ARCONET +83 328
>Geoffrey_Newman: OW 2J WO +19 328
>David_Koenig: AHINPSZ D11 PHIZ +60 388
>Geoffrey_Newman: EEFINRV L8 .VERFINE +80 408
>David_Koenig: ?ANORSS 15H SANt.ROS +113 501
#note My only nine-timer, believe it or not.
>Geoffrey_Newman: (NPRRV) -10 398
>David_Koenig: (NPRRV) +10 511
#note Not a game in which I did anything particularly brilliant, but one in which I simply kept my cool and continued making good moves, even when nothing great developed until very late.
