>Jim: AALOSTW 8F AWOL +14 14
#note I have several of Jim's racks.
>Avery: ?ABHILR F6 BR.cHIAL +76 76
#note Highest scoring bingo. Can you find the only bingo through the O?
>Jim: ADINSTT J6 DISTANT +72 86
>Avery: ACGIRTW 11E W.G +14 90
#note kOHLRABI was the only bingo through the O. I saw AIRTING here but didn't like it.
>Jim: ?DFINRU K1 UNFIReD +75 161
>Avery: ACILPRT 1H PIC.L +30 120
#note I liked this since with an AE draw, I get APICULATE (or SPICULATE, but I'd probably bingo eventually with a draw like that). Not to mention ART is a good bingo draw and I'm saving a hook for column D.
>Jim: AQUY G3 QUAY +33 194
>Avery: AEGOPRT D8 PORTAGE +84 204
>Jim: GIR 8A GRI. +21 215
>Avery: ADENNOY 12J .ANNOY +26 230
#note Huge turning point that I can't remember if PORTAGE takes a D or not. ANODYNE plays for 103. If I was already guaranteed the game and had a lead, I'd do it, but the game was too close to risk losing a turn. Even with that, I missed B2 ANNOYER. I would have been confident enough to do it online, but sometimes those live games just mess with your head.
>Jim: AEEISTV H11 SIEVE +36 251
>Avery: ACDEEIJ M9 JEA.ED +44 274
#note Missed DEEJAY O7, considering I still don't know PORTAGED.
>Jim: AKOT O8 TOKA. +36 287
>Avery: BCEFIMS 15A FIBS +42 316
>Jim: EEUZ 3K .UZEE +34 321
>Avery: CEEIMNX O1 EX.C +48 364
>Jim: ADEIORT B1 ADROITE. +72 393
>Avery: EHIMNOR A1 HO +33 397
#note What to do here? The pool isn't awful. I feel like I have to 1) not empty the bag, 2) keep well enough to score in the endgame since I'll have tempo probably since he's emptying the bag. This seems like my best shot, since stuff like MAUVE just kills me. I can't figure out why CP says HI wins 7% (!) more than HO, given that there's two O's left. Quackle whisperers, what's going on? Is it just to save OX/OE?
>Jim: EELMOST N11 M.TEL +27 420
#note His actual rack. He missed EMOTE in the same spot, which would have won the game on the spot.
>Avery: EIMNNOR H1 .RIM +29 426
#note Thank god I budgeted time for this endgame. The first thing to note is that he had 1 minute left to make his next plays, so I had to count on him not having time to consider all the tricks I could play, and that he would just go with the highest scoring play he could find.

I first counted H1 PRIME followed by C5 NONI, but saw that ROVES beat it by 1. Interestingly, 3A ERUV is better than ERUVS by one point for him, but he still wins. I then considered 4A MORON but it has the same downfalls, despite my out of H1 PEIN scoring a lot (K10 SUAVE/SOAVE and ROVES outrun me). I then considered K10 MOANER to block SUAVE/SOAVE, but ROVES still beats me. Finally, I considered PRIM, which saves NEE. Since I have no wins, this seemed to be the best way to get him to trip up. ROVES doesn't win since NEE outruns. 3A ERUVS ties the game since after NEE, he only has 15N LO for 6, which ties at 452. SUAVE wins but is a harder find than ROVES. His best plays are OS or US (in that order!) at 5N because they save good outs - 3A ERUV or 10A OVER, respectively. Mathematically, this is 6 points worse than any of PRIME, MORON or MOANER, but if he panics and plays ROVES, I win. Not likely, but I think it's still a creative idea.
>Jim: EOSUV 5K .OVES +22 442
#note It was a very agonizing minute waiting for his play, but he made the play I wanted him to make. He has exactly 5 wins and one tie. Interestingly, ROUES is one point better than ROVES.
>Avery: ENNO N1 NE. +26 452
#note The only winning play.
>Jim: U 13D .U. +4 446
#note His best out. Exhale.
>Jim: (NO) +4 450
