#player1 Will Will
#player2 Phyllis Phyllis
>Will: ACFLOOS 8D FOCAL +28 28
#note Setting up AFOCAL, just like game one against Phyllis when I played A/PODAL! The funny thing was, she even muttered something about PODAL when I played this, so I wasn't sure what that meant. I would play ALOOF against anybody I felt sure knew AFOCAL.
>Phyllis: AQU G8 .QUA +23 23
>Will: ANNNOOS 12C NOONS +24 52
#note Oops. NONFOCAL, obviously. This was my biggest equity blunder of the tourney.
>Phyllis: BDOY 11B BODY +35 58
>Will: ABENOPV 13B BOP +26 78
>Phyllis: EPY 9C PYE +21 79
>Will: ADELNRV E7 V.. +6 84
>Phyllis: ERTU 6B TRUE +13 92
>Will: ADELNRS 10F R.NDALES +63 147
#note Didn't want to play SNARLED and give up the triple, but I must have just whiffed on ADRENALS.
>Phyllis: EGIRV L7 GRI.VE +22 114
>Will: EFNRSTT 13K FRET +25 172
#note Only one S left, so this is decent calculated aggression; but I was tempted to play it safe, since I shouldn't need to gamble to maintain control.
>Phyllis: AIM 8L .IMA +18 132
>Will: DGNOSTZ O13 SOZ +44 216
>Phyllis: EHNORST 14F THRONES +81 213
>Will: DGMNTUW 15I WUD +21 237
>Phyllis: AIK 15D KAI +14 227
>Will: EGIMNNT 7J GI.MEN +26 263
#note Just what the doctor ordered here, scoring, blocking, and turning 5 tiles to get a blank.
>Phyllis: ADU 9G .UAD +25 252
>Will: EIILNTX 14A XI +26 289
#note This might be a controversial move. I wasn't terribly excited by J1 EXILING/EXITING, needlessly throwing the board open completely. Obviously, relying heavily on inference in this particular case might not be the best idea, but I would think that Phyllis would probably have played QUID over QUAD if she had had the choice to do so; and if so, I would often catch her without an I. It worked out, but that's not proof that XI is my best option. B2 INTITLE is kind of interesting, blocking the T of true and drawing six more tiles at a cost of opening a couple more lines.

#note This feels like it should do the trick
>Phyllis: IT 8A IT +18 305
>Will: ?EEHLNR 9L .RE +16 353
#note Sets up EH with EMIRS/HEME, blocks miracle 9s.

>Phyllis: IT 5N TI +12 339
