>Will: ABIOTTT 8G BOTT +12 12
#note Wow, BIOTA is way, way better on equity. I didn't expect Scott to be confident in BOTTE though.
>Scott: GIIOPR 7D PIROGI +22 22
>Will: AEIIOTY K8 YITIE +26 38
>Scott: ?ACKLMS L12 MACK +42 64
>Will: AACOQVZ 6G CAZ +37 75
#note Error here. I can score nearly as many points as CAZ here without spending my Z. I was hoping to use up the Z now so I could more easily deal with the Q next turn, but I'm much likelier to get several very good scores in a row by playing 8A CAVA or 15L KAVA. AOQV is just horrendous, and I also make a scary CAZH hook. All this being said, it's like a 7 point equity mistake, not a complete disaster.
>Scott: ?DEHLMS 11F DEMoL.SH +76 140
>Will: AAOQRUV 15H QUAR. +54 129
#note 8A AQUA also an option - the plays are close.
>Scott: ADIW 8A WADI +32 172
>Will: AAOOSVX M11 .OX +49 178
>Scott: EN 9H NE +22 194
>Will: AAEIOSV 12D AVISO +28 206
#note No point holding the S here.
>Scott: ?EELNST B7 k.NTELES +68 262
>Will: AEEIINY A12 AYIN +34 240
>Scott: DUW 13H WUD +16 278
>Will: EEEEFIR 9B .IEF +17 257
#note Same letters play at C8 (DEIF) for two more. I could also just play 9A ENE or 9B NEE and keep both consonants, though the extra points and tile pick (I'd love to draw the H) seem quite valuable here.
>Scott: AR 13A ..AR +16 294
>Will: EEEJPRU D4 PUR... +20 277
#note Need these points, could draw decent J plays paralleling PURPIE. Almost got an extra 5 for this.
>Scott: GRU C3 RUG +15 309
>Will: EEEHJLS J5 EH +39 316
#note Huge huge H draw. Thankfully did not pull the trigger on PIROGIE* and HET, which would've been 11 more points if it stayed, but 39 fewer if Scott challenged, which I think he would have.
>Scott: GOT E3 GOT +21 330
>Will: AEEJLST 14D TAJ +29 345
#note 2A JET is interesting, and sims evenly with TAJ. I suspect this is because I get the very damaging SJOE with an O draw, whereas Scott needs much more specific combos to play there. It also keeps AELS, which should bingo a ton if I draw the R (REH) or even from the G a lot of the time, and still allows me to potentially do an AXE/L + AXE/S setup on future turns. The problem with JET is just that if Scott has any of the whammy combos it's pretty bad news - DJIN, FJORD/FJELD, EJIDO, AJEE...TAJ outperforms JET badly in all of those scenarios. Moving on - K3 JEE was tempting, but it's too easily paralleled for huge points. Quackle likes it an unreasonably large amount, probably because it sometimes has Scott play elsewhere when he never will and I get my easy AJEE hooking play. TAJ is still a perfectly solid play, scoring more points and preserving AXE setup letters; I think I still probably like it best.
>Scott: EEFNNRV 4J FEVER +31 361
#note Brutal move for Scott - I liked FEVER postgame, gunning for the all important S; but perhaps NEF/FRUG works well too, gunning for the REH bingo.
