>Tim: IIIII -IIIII +0 0
>Will: IINOOTU -IOOU +0 0
>Tim: III -III +0 0
>Will: CEILNNT 8D CLINT +20 20
#note Didn't think of LENTIC which is a smidge better after all the exchanging.
>Tim: CP F7 P.C +7 7
>Will: AEJNORR 10E JAR +22 42
#note Did this to try and catch Tim without high scoring tiles and without an A or O; but he has at least an A a lot after PIC for easy underlaps. RAJ instead is significantly better defensively, not allowing those nasty underlaps and cutting down bingo% a fair bit.
>Tim: EOS 11E OSE +35 42
>Will: BEILNOR 12D OB +20 62
#note Silly me thinking the L would improve the EINR leave; the LN anti-synergy must poison the leave, since LOB not only scores two more points than OB but also bingos 4% more often for me, despite not holding any hooks to LOB. 12A BROIL also scores quite well but I don't love opening the triple here.
>Tim: IQ G6 QI. +18 60
>Will: EEILLNR H5 LIN.EL +33 95
#note Almost did INTEL holding back the L to hook with; INTEL does bingo just enough more often as a result to make it worth playing.
>Tim: EFI 13C FIE +27 87
>Will: ?EEEERW 12G EWE +13 108
#note Could've done 12G EEEW here instead; ER? plays decently well underneath it.
>Tim: ENRSTTU J6 NUTTERS +68 155
>Will: ??EEIOR K5 hEROIsE +83 191
>Tim: DOO H12 .OOD +24 179
>Will: AAAALOT C11 AL.A +12 203
#note Ok, this feels like a big error; now is the time to exchange. The game is far too close to even to be playing "defense" like this (blocking the D) - ironic quotes around defense because ALFA gives up a decent sevens line down column B and an easy Z bomb spot. CP thinks this is just a 1-point error, but it feels bigger to me.
>Tim: BHU L11 HUB +22 201
>Will: AAAORTY M12 RYA +28 231
#note Considered L1 YARTA and 8J TOTARA in addition to RYA; I felt I wanted to block off REHS here, but RYA does give up some nasty scoring plays down column N in response. I could avoid that by just playing I12 EYRA with the same letters for 3 fewer, but I sure would feel dumb to get hit with a REHS bingo afterwards. HUB looked like a move Tim could make with lots of racks but would be especially good with an S in hand; RYA does much better against those racks.
>Tim: DRU 14E DUR. +22 223
>Will: AAAADOT -AAAO +0 231
#note Ok, finally time to bail on this
>Tim: EHIM D4 HEMI. +24 247
>Will: ADFNPTU C3 FUD +22 253
#note C3 TUFA is the play. It gives up a big K and Y spot but those plays yield big counterplay to me, and the extra six points are nice to get.
>Tim: ADIOSVW B4 DISAVOW +85 332
#note That didn't work out
>Will: AIKNPTT L1 KATTI +29 282
>Tim: AEGIRST A9 GAITERS +85 417
>Will: ENNNOPX N13 EX +44 326
#note I saw ZOAEA available, but if Tim phonies and I draw NONPAGAN (most likely two tile draw), I could win!
>Tim: AEOZ 2J ZO.EA +68 485
>Will: GNNNOPV 3I PON. +22 348
#note Best, but only because of IDEM/MY being available. Otherwise I'm sure I should block the out.
>Tim: AGMY N1 G.MAY +11 496
>Tim: (GNNV) +16 512
