>JD: EEORTVY F6 VE.RY +27 27
>Evan_Berofsky: ACDN 10B CAND. +17 65
>JD: ENORRTT E10 .ORT +10 37
#note probably VROT for 3 less to give myself a lane, CANDY says next to nothing about Evan's leave
>Evan_Berofsky: ABEEO 12C AE.OBE +18 83
>JD: EINNRST 13G INTERNS +75 112
>Evan_Berofsky: ADIW 11H WADI +22 105
>JD: AAEIMOT 10I MOAI +19 131
#note poor play, somehow I hadn't realized yet that WENA didn't take the S and was worried about the hotspot. MOAI at 14F is great.
>Evan_Berofsky: AEILOOT 9C LI +18 123
>JD: ABEETVX 13B VEX. +41 172
#note am I giving up too much here by not setting up WENTS? Will he know WENTS for sure? I liked how difficult this made Evan's next play, and so I went for it.
>Evan_Berofsky: DELNO 14F LODEN +29 152
>JD: AABEOPT 9I APT +21 193
#note sad, couldn't find OPAQUEST here! I was looking for -QUEST extensions, but couldn't think of the one extension in the bag that fits at 8A.
>Evan_Berofsky: ?AACHIL 7H ACHIrAL +67 219
>JD: ABEFGIO 8M BOG +24 217
#note lol I should keep AO to go for the OPAQUEST play that I missed last time. GIF the play
>Evan_Berofsky: OUY 14L YOU +19 238
>JD: AEFFIIO 12M IFF +16 233
#note yikes, I have no idea. column O is pretty terrifying, and his play could well have been a setup, so I feel that I have to block. It's more ok to leave AEIO than usual with 10 vowels and 20 consonants unseen. I thought about both IF setting up the other F and IFF, each of which sims roughly evenly. I do kind of like Quackle's suggestion of blowing the board up with IFFIER at L2 (setting up MIFFIER and NIFFIER), but Evan's rack is probably a bit better than random after YOU. I probably need a break in my favor to win, and I'd be tempted to try IFFIER in hindsight.
>Evan_Berofsky: ?EELT 15H sTELE +52 290
>JD: AAEGIOR O11 A.ORE +31 264
>Evan_Berofsky: EK N10 KE. +22 312
>JD: ADGGIUZ L4 IZA. +24 288
#note oh man, I missed a golden chance here - I can fish AD and go for ZIGGURAT!!! I realized about 2 minutes later what I had done. Alternatives I considered were GUQIN trying to set up a big Z play (I have the last A so I can make AG) or my actual play of IZAR, which keeps trash, but does fish for stuff like DUGONGS or GRUDGES.
>Evan_Berofsky: HJOS 3J JOSH +41 353
>JD: DGGRSUW K2 W. +5 293
#note I'm dead. UR at M2 threatening SWIGGED? he can just block at K2. Basically I played this hoping he would play 1, and give me one more chance to fish.
>Evan_Berofsky: M H6 M.. +5 358
#note in hindsight, he surely has the T, else he would block by playing on row 4.
>JD: DEGGRSU M6 D.. +9 302
#note holy shit, DRUGGET is unblockable if I play WOS! I was thinking of trying to draw GURGETS* but the answer was staring at me!!
>Evan_Berofsky: IINNPRT 1G PRINT +27 385
>JD: EGGRSUU G3 GURU +15 317
#note GURGE. quite the game even though I didn't play super-great! I also went over by 2 minutes.
>Evan_Berofsky: IN B13 .IN +12 397
