>bnnj: EHX 7G HEX +37 67
>jackson: AEGMNPS 6H MAP +28 118
#note didn't consider GAMP - I bingo slightly more and score an extra point. I would have expected EGNS to do better, but alas the G never fails to disappoint
>bnnj: ?AEISTU K6 SInUATE +70 137
>jackson: EGINNOS 9E .ON +15 133
#note he seems to have misswiped
>bnnj: AALLRV L10 LARVAL +28 165

#note rule #1 of scrabble that is seriously true:

whenever your opponent plays a 7 letter word through a tile on the board, they are keeping that tile on their rack
>jackson: EEGINOW A4 .EOWING +39 258
>bnnj: AKLR 14J KR.AL +38 247
>jackson: ABEFOOR D12 FOO +27 285
#note I estimated that the aggression with FOO was worth it - ABER is about as good as my leave is getting, and I'm scoring well in the process. FOO does give back more than other plays but I just get a lot more benefit from it than I do from other plays.

was happy to break free from my typical thought process which is too focused on what plays give to my opponent, and not focused enough on what they give me
>bnnj: DFINU 15F FUNDI +33 280
>jackson: ABEEHRU 8J U.BEAR +30 315
#note I was expecting EH to be much better for me than ABERU, but Q says I only average 3-4 more after UNBEAR, and of course it lets him average a lot more (partly cause he bingoes a lot more).
>bnnj: ADOT B12 DOAT +28 308
>jackson: BEEHIIZ N7 B.IZE +36 351
>bnnj: ACEORSU O1 CAROUSE. +87 395
>jackson: EHIINOR B6 HO +31 382
#note with the ugly pool, if he has the Q he's stuck

I was all set to play HO, which def wins 7/9 times (losing only when I draw the Q myself).

but I considered dropping (J)O in order to avoid the Q - I only draw it 1/9 instead of 2/9, but if I play JO and bnjy does not have the Q, he should probably pass. I think bnjy will figure out he has to do that, and then win the game easily. this means that JO still loses when the Q is in the bag, cause either I draw it or bnjy passes, forcing me to either pass out and lose or play something, draw the q, and lose.

another aspect of 1 tile plays I considered was that I could hit a bingo - if I play (O)I and something like QT or CQ is in the bag, I will draw into ENCHORIC or THORNIER. If bnjy sees the Q is unseen, he will deem that the larger threat than the bingo (since he should be drawing the Q half the time) and pass.

the issue is that either I will draw the Q from the pool or draw the C/T giving me bingoes, but after Bnjy passes I will be drawing the Q and will be stuck, so the bingoes don't actually win.

basically it does not seem I can get much better than 7/9 here
>bnnj: CDELNQT A14 DE +21 416
>jackson: EGIINRT 10E .ITI +20 402
#note just TIT or (b)IT(MAPS) are a bit better!
>bnnj: CLNQT 10J C.. +11 427
>jackson: EGNR D1 GRE.N +10 412
#note genro or regna but I wanted to be safe (tho if I pass my turn I still win by 1 assuming the other one is valid)
